Gach: Learned something from airflow/rpm/hp thread. Good way to see what kind of HP is floatin around out there. The 'Dude is makin about 900-950 HP at the flywheel, with a 9.5 motor.

And you'll most likely see us at MG or Norwalk- with a 250 HP NOS shot. Lookin' for 7.90-8.0's.

Hope we don't need the wide snow shovel and 55-gallon drum for any explosions, though. Timing retard deal will be a learning experience.

Gach..... Simple Question!!!
How much "Horsepower" does it make without Nitrous on 93 octane???? All I want is a simple answer. You said you were helping this dude. I take it he lives in R.I. or does he live in California???? As Joe Friday said...Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts. How did the War Wagon get drug into this?? I'm the only one raising Hell, hahahahahaha.
This has nothing to do with the facts that 800 hp can't be achieved. I just don't like the fact that you state 800 hp then later add all this other stuff on top. Next, it will have a huffer installed to get those #'s, LOL. 1/2"... It isn't making 750 hp... Gach said it's making 800 hp with a 150 shot. Do the math.......and that's on race gas. Let's see...a 462 Race engine, driven on the street making 650hp. That's 1.23 hp per cu. in. What's so great about that??? Very interesting, hahahahahahaha.
Gach, Gach, Gach. Buddy. Hurry up and tell me more. What's the Cost on this 1.23 hp per cu. in. MONSTER!!!! Party on Dudes. LOL.

BTW: Gach, make it interesting for the Dude to come to the Grove for a ONE DAY'ER and I'll bring my lowly, non making hp, only can run on juice, can't street driving, race gas, 300 passes, car showin, garage kept, 428/ ??? hp T/A there and spank ya, dude. You'll need more then 800 hp to spank the dude thou!!!! Hahahahahahaha. Can I put Slicks on it this time???? instead of Radials.

Zedo I'll tell you what is sweeter than sweet. It's the programmable cd7 from MSD. It allow you to program all the stages of nos and do the timing retards from a lap top. Not only activating solenoids but timing curves, 3 rev limiters and a bunch of other neat features. I'll be using it to push the orange bird into the 7's with nos for MG and Norwalk. Later Ed

Who is Billy Clubb?

Why would Gach bring Billy's car if he's got his own?

Scott,Billy Clubb was the previous owner of the white 70 GTO seen numerous times on this board. It was sold in 94 or 95 thru Bob Maxey for $9500.00 minus drivetrain. We all know who's garage it's been sitting in since.

Clarification of the above post:I will hand over a 100 dollar bill to Lou if he shows up in Norwalk.

How much if he shows up with his car?

How much if he smokes Keef?

How much if Jerry Bull the Junkie shows up wearing long sleeves in August?

Jesus, I wish you guys would lay off the icons! I bust out laughing here at work, people stare, and it's really difficult to explain why a dancin' mouse, or a guy with a big shovel, would make a grown man in an office building laugh so hard. David, that was hysterical...

Hey, we have 100 octane available here at a local Clark station, $2.69 a gallon. Does this qualify as "pump gas"?

This is the setup:

800 hp at 5800 rpm
823 ft lbs at 4800 rpm.

455 block and crank
C&A forged steel rods (American made quality)
JE/SRP street strip pistons.
C&A or Total Seal rings
RRE prepared Edelbrock heads. 72cc versions and 108 octane needed for this. 11.5Cr.OR,
87cc version for 700+ h.p. 92 octane version 10.5Cr.
Custom Fulperformance Comp solid real street roller cam. .580 lift. Easy on valve springs.
1.5 Harland Sharp rockers.
Custom H.D. p-rods
True roller T-chain.
Victor intake
850 Speed Demon
MSD distributor.
Valley cover - aluminum- needed for roller lifter clearance.
150 NOS simple plate system.

A 150 shot is easy on a stock engine. Using these high quality parts ensures a long engine life under normal conditions. As you can see, this combination never needs to go past 6000 rpm to have major fun. This is what makes Bruce's King Street combination so awesome.

Sorry, should have explained that the final paragraph of that engine combo were straight from the King's mouth, and are not my words.

On a side note, I'll wager $100 that LadyDude goes faster at Norwalk than Gach does...

I believe the scientific name for the above creature is ponchoxpertis-eheadiousknowitallous.Known to inhabit the North American continent in only two areas-Inland Empire region of Southern California and in New England.Once-a-year sightings near Dayton have been reported.

However, local"legend"in Maple Grove(pa)and Norwalk(Ohio)states that the creature appeared in their town(s)but was chased off by infuriated Indians and was never seen again.

At one point, the creature was captured, sedated and a X-over pipe was installed between the heads in an effort to equalize the vacuum between the ears. This showed no change in behavior and the pipe was subsequently removed.

ROTFLMAO!
Just goes to show about the X-pipes... The Book says "No Benefit with an I.Q. of 80 or less"...
But one was quoted as saying "It made a really neat whistling sound"... [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

CopaBill, that was pretty good, X-cross was funny too. Any value-adding statements to come?

So, Gach is bringing his Billy Club, and do some tenderizing. I hope the wagon shows at either event. I want to meet them and shake their hands.

I STILL think Gach has a motor that hit 750HP at 4800RPM. Yet, would like to know the torque curve from off idle to 4800RPM. Now THAT's potentially good engine development.

Funny, my Birthday today too. All I got was a book on MBA's and an issue of HPP [Feb 2001]...A rather decent issue except there's an advertisement on p51, from some Fluper guy talking about 800Hp@5800RPM with a 150HP N2O shot. But then the adv. goes real south real bad talking about some "loud mouth boy from Pa never showed up..." I have seen the PY threads about the older adv, but come on it's been a few months and there's carp in my mag! I think the fella took a credible HP&Torque adv claim, and victory call and ruined it with the Congratulatory call, without competition present, and slung for nothing.

Point can be made here [you all listening?] Gach says he's got 750 [94% same] HP at 1000RPMs less than the adv. The B. Fulper guy claims "killer experience with big torque low RPM lowCR engines. Well, my goals are likely met with these two fellas, except I'll be huffing it [Kompressor], rather than hook it to an IV bottle.

Afterall, only babies need bottles.

A simple Question : What/who are JE/SRP [SRP]pistons?...did I miss a Jesel Eng'g merger?
