Gotcha - I interpret the keyway in the RM instructions as a reference point only - the important part is the dot on the cam gear. That being said, until you said it I never paid attention and didn't realize the edge of the keyway slot in the cam gear lined up with the dot.

Thing is, I could not even get a hold of Rollermaster to talk to them about their instruction mistake. While Cloyes tech will pick the phone right up. Screw Rollermaster, Cloyes all the way. I just bought another 3/4 flat link set on E Bay for 35 $ It looks like it has a steel top gear too. I looked back at the paperwork for the Elgin/Morse chain I am running. It cost me 10 $ !! |
