The only thing I like better about a 69 is the seats. Vent windows rock, especially if you don't have AC. I agree with the above statement, I have checked this thread 5 or 6 times myself.

Duh! I didn't take that into account.

69 because I have one and that is when the judge came out. Otherwise I would be impartial.

Have to go with the 69 since I own a convertible. Both are great looking cars. I do like the rear lights better on the 69.
When I was at the dream cruise in 2010 Jim Wangers showed me his favorite car - a 69 judge. Does that make it 33 to 32? |

I'm voting for 69 only because I have one, LOL. Kinda like trying to pick your favorite snowflake, they are all beautiful.

3 weeks ago I acquired a nice 1969 and since it's been a while I had forgotten how fun the 2 model years are to drive.
Picking a favorite is difficult. This view is priceless and fits both years. Last edited by NYGTO; 04-17-2016 at 06:02 PM. |

I prefer the 68 dash. Everything else 69.

Now I feel the opposite. I love my 68, but I feel the 69 interior is laid out better, especially HVAC controls. And I think the 69 interior just has a better feel.

Regardless of personal preference (despite my collection of 69's I've always loved the 68 as well and had several over the years) I find that 68's seem invisible nowadays on the market. You just see so much less 68's going through eBay and the auction houses even though they were a more popular car when new. I guess all 68's and 69 GTO's are in the shadow of the Judge.

It seams to me that 68's are always valued lower then the 68's other then the RAII etc. I've always just assumed that was based on the overall public opinion between the two models, that is the 69 is cooler.

No, it's not... It's just more commonplace... Kind of like a Chevy...
In other words, if overall popular opinion is your guide, just about any year Camaro is way cooler than any model GTO.

Why are the 69's more commonplace when there were more 68's produced. I was just saying that 69's have always commanded more money then a 68. What drives that? Demand mostly which equates into the 69 being the more popular of the two. Jmo.

69 for me although the Hurst Dual Gate for automatics was a big loss IMO.
