Nice plug for your rods, Ken.

BME's are probably about 100 grams lighter, but don't forget about rod length. Most folks going aluminum go with a 6.8" rod and there's quite a bit of difference in weight over a 6.8" steel rod.

Has anyone tried the Ohio Crankshafts aluminum rods? Switching to these from my Crowers wouldn't hurt my wallet too bad. They're pretty cheap.

$700 for the 6.8? For about $300 more you can get the BME's and have peace of mind. Check around with different Pontiac vendors and see what kind of deal they can cut. Keefer's always cut me some good deals.
