Rodney had some big primaries on the old purple car when we ran nitrous. I think they were either 2.375" or 2.5", I can't remember. I helped build them. They were a pain in the butt to build, but surprisingly, they were his "go to" headers on the dyno for the bigger engines...they made more power than anything else we ever tried, if I remember correctly. It seems downright silly, but it was true.

I have a picture somewhere of the big nitrous engine on the dyno with them.

Travis,

Thanks for the note. The results don't seem silly to me. Did they perform well on the track or could you package them in the car? Do you know if they were' packaged at the head at 2.375" or where the stubbed at something smaller and then stepped up to bigger pipe? From what I can tell, 2.125 is as big as you can go with flatting the pipes on the center ports and spreading bolts. Just wondered what others have done.

I'd be interested in seeing the picture if it's no trouble.

Thanks again,

Aaron

If Stan is short for Stanley, then I get this:

Wikipedia:

Stanley Weiss is an American professional poker player residing in Nashville, Tennessee.

So this car thing is a side hobby?

Some of these guys are talking about different HP cars along with weights not running as fast or whatever.
They were saying a low RPM car couldn't run.
That's why I posted the diesel thing. Not really saying it was an equal race.
If it was in Jack's car, it would run the same as he does now.
(actually if the diesel guy did the chassis work, probably run faster than Jack's engine )

Then they also say the HP unit is different between a NOS engine and a NA engine.
That unit of HP cares less how it is made.
HP is KING baby.

This is the pertinent info.

Only 1000???? Since the maximum cubic inch was 358 and that is damn near 2.8 per cubic inch, exactly how much power do you think a 358'' NA small block makes? Kind of puts the rest of your ramblings into perspective.

If you're referencing a Cummins, don't be talking bad about my B Series.

Has any packaged anything larger than 2-1/8" on a head with the traditional Pontiac exh port outlet?
We're running 2.5" at the head and even double walled. It's done with an adapter plate bolted to the head with counter sunk bolts then you relocate the header bolts where you want on the adapter plate. I have three different cars with the adapter plates and it makes sealing them up and removal easy.

I know that I exist but I don't believe there is a credible mathematical formula to prove it yet. Sometime you must believe based on experience and faith.

That's your problem, your 'Facts' are opinion and not real.

Show your real facts and not opinions?

I showed you a real fact in post #389, you chose to ignore it mostly, post a nonsensical reply and fail to answer the question why a 1300@5500 horsepower turbo diesel is quite a bit slower than a 1000@9800 horsepower NA engine.
