Keith, great info.

So I get the working angles as seen from a “side elevation” of the vehicle, but what is the vibration influence if the angles are off from left or right from viewed from the top of the car?

Say for example your transmission mount is off slightly and the transmission is pointing more towards the left or right wheel? If the centerline of the crankshaft/transmission are not perfectly in line with the rear end, does this matter or will it also cause issues?

When the driveline angle front to rear is not true, the joints experience compound angles, and it's not good.

So when looking from the top of the car down as you put it, the engine/trans centerline needs to be the same as the pinion gear centerline. I think the spec is <3 degrees, zero is perfect.

I was trying to point that out in another thread I believe.

Yes - agree. The u joint sees those angles regardless of what "plane" they occur in, so they must cancel each other out.
