Seems kinda low to me for a restored numbers matching SD car. Where are you finding those our of curiosity?

74 SD's with automatics are on the low end of the food chain....(highest production)......and a white car lacks the pizzazz...of a blue or red one..JMO

A red 74 SD that looked pretty nice in a tiny picture was a NO SALE at 60K in recent Mecum auction. It was in Hemmings muscle Machines an issue or two ago.

You show me where a restored White 74 SD Auto went for more than $80,000. It's now listed at $27,000, so we may see what it's worth. While anything can be restored, I still think it's a parts car.

As I said I don't follow '74s (I personally don't like the bumpers) but it just seemed to be a low amount to me. But a quick search of BAT, Mecum and Barrett (may need to be logged into see the auction results) : https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...am-super-duty/ https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Even...UTY-455-188653 https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Even...UTY-455-180481 https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0514-18...am-super-duty/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/PA0722-51...am-super-duty/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0322-49...am-super-duty/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0514-18...am-super-duty/ Again, was just a comment as it seemed low for a fully restored SD (even auto and/or white) to me |

I won't make an estimate on what it's worth, but I will add that it's getting pretty hard to find a SD with the original motor. I know of four or five right now that are missing anything from the original block to the entire motor. The owners have been looking for a SD motor for several years now, thinking they're going to luck up on a motor cheap. Well, they're still looking.

A pretty nice 74 SD 4-speed un-restored car went unsold on BAT today. It was a nice Blue car with custom interior, no AC and a 4-speed. It had some minor issues, but looked pretty honest. It was a no sale at 110K. Seemed like very good money for that car to me. New owner was likely fishing for that holy grail. Maybe next time.

The SD-455 TA mentioned in previous post on BAT had a standard black interior. Not deluxe as I had posted. So in summary, 110K bid rejected as not meeting reserve on a pretty nice, un-restored 74 SD. Low option car but the very desirable 4-speed.

In reading the comments it seems it did sell; he must have reached a deal with the high bidder. BTW, all 4-speed SD cars are non-AC.

I did not know that. I learn something new every day. I had a 70 TA Ram Air III 4-speed with AC. It was pretty tight on the right side under the hood. Wonder if 70 TA's with Ram Air IV 4-speed were NO AC as well? All interesting stuff.

70 RA IV TAs were no AC, regardless of transmission.
