Some may need a Pontiac bell housing besides a flywheel. One I used needed a manual flywheel. Other a flexplate was OK

Tried to call shop before closing to verify everything needed for dyno session. Definitely don't want to show up without the necessary parts. Discovered I'm going to need a starter and hopefully flexplate, since I'm automatic? I'm positive the carb that Jeff setup for the 470 is sufficient. I have a new 8528 MSD RTR distributor setup for 34* total ( blk stop bushing, 1 light silver/1 blue spring)
Thanks guys, alot of good information.

It's not hard to see if the dyno numbers are fudged. Simple math with the BSFC and Lbs. Per Hour of fuel will give you a real number and you can then check that against the correction factor to see if it's reasonable for the condtions.

If the BSFC and Lbs. Per Hour are not listed on the dyno sheet (I've seen many that are not) then take those dyno numbers with a grain of salt.

I agree but a lot of time one of those is left off for something else to be on. You can only fit so much on a page. Not sure its far to say because they're not there to not take the numbers serious

If it was measured then it can be printed out. There nothing that says the dyno operator cannot printout more than a 1 page report for each pull.

While most of this information is not of an use to anyone it is just an example of what is saved. This is a Big Block Ford which I believe was dynoed at West Tech.

You generally get multiple pages printed. All those things are measured, it's just a matter of whether they choose to print it.

If I don't see it presented with the rest of the data, I don't put faith in the numbers.

Also some places if you bring a thumb drive will give you a copy of the "SFD" files. That is what happened for the example I posted above. I also know some members here have gotten their "SFD" files because they have been nice enough to have shared them with me. That being said you do need the Super Flow Win Dyn software to look at the "SFD" files.

My last shop that used a Superflow you could out them on a USB and open it up using a free download form Superflow and look at every page of data like Stan said. Dyno operator did not know how to so I walked him through it .
