I appreciate the not mine posts. Something i may have been looking for and would not have found otherwise. 8 posts in 6 years makes me wonder though. I agree. Lighten up. If they bother you that much skip them.

I disagree. I don't do it often but I do it when I see a Pontiac or part that is rare or seems a very good deal. Most of mine relate to rare SD type items I run across on CL or ebay. It is hard to find some of this stuff and I appreciate it when someone who has run across something, not theirs, puts it on here or calls or texts me or whatever. Part of this hobby and forum is helping one another find stuff.

Please keep posting cars or parts that are "not yours" in the interest of this hobby. That's how I found my car.
Thanks |

8 total posts since joining in 2013 and you would like to change the forum guidelines as a paying member.? In some ways I do agree that there are posts made that can put a buyer in a bad position not dealing with a forum member directly, but you just have to be careful. Being a paid member is not all this group should be about though. Contributing to the discussions with helpful, informative, responsive posts on a regular basis carries more clout with allot of us. I think you will continue to see an abundance of feedback from members who have given allot to this community will not be in agreement with your post but hey, like you, that is just opinion on the subject.......

I usually read over the #NOT MINE posts quite often, sometimes there's nothing that interests me, but I have seen some good stuff posted in them frequently too. Keep the #NOT MINE posts...…………...
I'm just thankful for C Cass having the foresight to establish this forum years ago, and keep it up and running. He doesn't get thanked nearly enough for the space he gives us for our hobby, Thanks Chris!!!! |

Yeah, I agree with most of these guys. I started helping others find Pontiac cars & parts, LONG before there was an internet.
Recently helped a guy in CA find the heads he was lookin for, in the Vegas area. The heads were obviously "not mine". But I was glad to help. |

I alway consider the “not mine” add links to be of interest but with added caution because the poster is not endorsing the add. I only open them if it is something I might be interested in. So not much harm having them around especially if Not Mine is in the title.
ps. I hate when I forget how much of a hypocrite I am and then boldly stick my foot in my mouth. But it’s funny when it happens to someone else.

Here's my vote: Turn off your computer and go relax somewhere.

On second thought, just turn it off permanently.

Although on a diff forum,I would not have had a shot at the Holley sale for 660 center squirt carbs if someone had not posted not mine. There is a guy on the Yenko site that posts interesting cars for sale and I never see anyone complain?Tom

I think that if a poll was added to this thread it would be overwhelmingly slanted towards keeping them...
To complain about something that you did within the last year seems to discredit your complaint. (yes, that is a direct reference to the link in post #17)
