You got it if I can keep the custom license plate plugs. I’ll even throw in the original matching numbers engine...

Oh my! Very nice! I use to see a lot of those in the day. I don't care for cars that are brown, BUT that car/color is awesome!!!

My car in its current stage of ugliness will not be posted here.....until it improves!!!

Keep the nifty pictures coming! Even if you've posted here in another section!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

I didn't think I liked brown cars either, but the brown trans ams look awesome! My brother bought an rx7 brand new in 83 or 84 and it was the same brown. I thought he was silly getting a brown sports car, but it ended up growing on me.

My wife's 79 Trans Am, 49K original miles, frame off restored in 1990
using 18K worth of new GM parts........driven 3,000 miles since then.......has every
factory option except color keyed seat belts and rear window defogger. Even the
decals are original GM........no repro parts on this car....... the jacket my wife is wearing is for the Concours D'elegance Award
from the Pontiac -Oakland Club when it scored 400/400 points in point judging, the only 79 T/A to ever accomplish that feat.

That's a nice looking car. I think white is the best colour for a trans am! Dont take this the wrong way, but I dont understand why someone would restore a car like this and then drive it just 100 miles a year There was an article in the recent smoke signals about a guy with a judge that did the same thing. He let the car sit for many years, then did a meticulous restoration, and now he doesn't drive the car. Other than road salt, the worst thing to do to a car is NOT drive it. The best thing about owning these kind of vehicles is driving!

My wife and I have other old cars that we drive much more often
than the Trans Am. The main reason we drive the T/A less is that because the
wheels stick out so far past the fenderwells, the car gets dirty just driving it
a few miles. Our other old cars have their wheels tucked inside the fenderwells and we can drive them without having to spend a bunch of time cleaning
when we get back home. For this reason, we drive the T/A on special occasions only, and we very much enjoy driving the car when we do drive it. I know we could put mud flaps on it, but I can't stand the way they look.

I agree that cleaning is a pain! My poor car has had one wash off and desperately needs waxed. Show season starts in a couple of weeks so I think a wax and detail are in the cards very soon AND, the older I get the less I like doing it.

I wouldn't say junk. I'd say that is pretty darn good looking.
