Oh you meant the gage? Lol.

I use my fuel injection for air temp...

I just found that for you to help you find one...

My air temp sensor is in the carb hat, and I have a carb style throttle body.

I want to try it down in the plenum because I've always wondered if being its more closer to the head and basically inside the motor ,if it heats up at that point away from where its at now and if it does I'd rather know an tune to what temp the motor really sees....

Thanks rohrt, wish I could take credit for it though. Nathan Shaw from One Guys Garage handled my hot side work. http://www.one-guys-garage.com/

Thanks guys, I'm going to see if I can get something set up before the next race and try to get some IAT data.

Here's a video I took some year back... about 20lbs, ethanol, sensor in the manifold, about 1/2 the fuel through the injector hat and half in the port - the port fuel being after the sensor. This was a cheapie sensor/gauge package that I'd guess wouldn't react quickly to changing conditions, but my take away was temps were dropping under load during the pass. Speaks to the cooling effect of the fuel. This was with a GoPro - don't get too much vibration with them in my experience.

I see you have a 1/8 pipe bung welded in. Have you checked back pressure yet?
Set up to measure IAT in the bonnet this weekend and hopefully under the carb next time out.

I also got a chance to check back pressure using an old fuel pressure gauge. Was at 13psi on 6 pounds boost and 17psi on 10 pounds of boost. Not sure what that tells me but there it is.

Talk to Mike and Eric. They can explain it to you. Good info though.
Worth doing the test, George.
