Exactly. Page and Plant were skirt chasing, boozing, druggies to the 100th degree. Both are lucky to be around today. But then again, the drugs are what kept them going.

It was said that Plant was into Blues and the songs Zeplin recorded were mainly Blues that Plant wrote [IIRC... not counting the ones they nicked from someone else ], and Page put to Rock. I can't find it but I'd found a video of Page when he was first learning to play the guitar. Skinny little kid he was.

you guys nailed this thread. amazed at the info in this thread. enjoyed it. I meet jimmy page at a concert in Albany where rod stewart was playing. I think the group was jeff beck Ronnie wood on bass. I asked jimmy for a jig on bass. he told me sorry your not in the british tradition. thanks bob.
