About 15 -18 years back a guy I know here in Australia plus a mutual friend from Portland OR, DROVE a mid 80s era Ford Bronco (or similar??) from Portland OR right up to some place called Prudhoe Bay where they had sold it. Flew home.
Some years ago, I saw a heap of pictures they took on the trip. Camping out, fishing along the way, a few side trips off road. They had a ball. Must ask him again all about it. Not sure exactly what time of the year it was but I know it wasn't cold. They had short sleeve shirts on in some pictures. Always makes me envious when he talks about that trip.
