Looking sweet! Nice detail and love the Lucy Blue! What paint system Jody? The Lucy Blue I'm spraying (GM WA4069) came in three tones in RM Base, lighter, regular and darker (using darker tint myself). In any event, it looks perfect!

I know it is PPG. I do not know the code of the paint but when I visited with Pat Brown his painter in my painter got the same code from the same company so it must be readily available. Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am hoping I can try to get into MCACN in a couple years for the 1972 display. This year we are campaigning Ron's 71 GTO 455 HO and he was invited to be a part of the PSMCDR display so I will be bringing that. Hoping this fall I can start some testing on mine for next years race season.

Your '72 GTO is looking good and sounds very healthy. It has come along ways since we did a feature on it several years ago.

Thank you very much. It was Pat's car then and looked gorgeous in your photos. I have probably looked through that feature article hundreds of times while I was purchasing it, through restoration for reference, and to make me smile more than anything. I know I will never get to drive it and enjoy it as much as Pat did when he owned it but I know I will enjoy the heck out of it when I have the opportunity.

I am pretty sure that is when Pat sold it to Steve Young, the gentleman I purchased it from.

Cool

Congrats on the purchase and your refresh is looking great. Another Longtime fan of same car here too.

Question: IIRC car came w Honeys originally, yes? See you have color matched steelies on it now, for Poverty Caps and / or racing duty?

Thanks ! The car was invoiced with 14" rally 2's and G70 white letter FG tires. We all remember the car with the Honeys that Pat ran on the car and they are gorgeous. The car could have been ordered with 15" steel wheels with Poverty caps and since I will be racing the car next year at the PSMCDR's, the wheel upgrade (size anyway...) gives me another inch and a half of rubber to the ground per tire !

Thanks Pat. I may have asked you this before but do you remember how many 72 GTO's came with this stripe from the factory?
