I had dynacorn full rear quarter panels put on my 68 GTO about 2 years ago by a body shop. The fit was pretty good initially but it took some work to get them perfect. They look beautiful. Had to split the seam behind the drivers door because the corner was too rounded. What ever quarters you use will be a lot of work. Just my opinion.

Repro skins are very usable. I don't really like the whole 1/4 unless it's NOS.

Doing a 68 drop top at work now. I'll try to take pics and show how it's done.

I think I will start looking for cars that don't need 1/4 panels in Montreal because we all know Quebec cars are known to have rust free sheetmetal now theres a solution. And we all know its 2014 and the rust free cars are everywhere I heard from a guy in Montreal that when you land at the Airport the 1969 GTO Convertibles Blue in color are in row A The 1969 GTO Convertibles White in color are in row B and so on guess Im heading to Quebec tonite.

Default rear 1/4s

I'm working on a 68 vert, and I'll be using the 80% one's from goodmark. It already appears that the arrow head hole is about 1/2 an inch higher than stock.so i will have to refigure my cut line a lil higher.

my body guy used complete 68-69 A body rear 1/4s with no issue.I checked with many guys and they said the rears were OK but avoid fronts at all cost.I used the front inners with no issue. The core supports are useable but not exact as they were made to work with too many years.FWIW,Tom

Here I go. I have time tonight to try to post this stuff. Please don't post until finish. It may take a while. I know car's, internet, not so much. Bear with me and be kind.

Car came to us from another shop due to owner concerns about quality.

How it looked. Lots of filler. Was supposed to get rear 1/4 patch panels and inner and outer wheel house panel patches.

Couldn't find convertible panels. Used hardtop and made them fit. Under rear window is major area that took work.

Second pic is whole quarter cut after I scribed the area of the new panel to the old 1/4.
First piic is the major area of the two panels not being the same shape.

The area under the window I used a stud gun to mount studs on the weld line before I fully welded it. I manually pulled on the stud while gentely tapping on the top of the original 1/4 to reshape the contour. Slow process.
