I had a 70 Bonni 455 convert some years ago and it started knocking and everyone that i had listen to it said it sounded like a bearing knock so i pulled the engine and found it to be a flex plate bolt backed out. Hopefully it'll be that simple for you.

My real Concern here is the oil pan ...looks like fuel maybe mixing with the oil ...and caused the Bearing issue....

I'm not gonna pull it apart I want to take it to the builder and have him look at it...get his take too.....

I don't like the how BLACK the tops of the pistons and the Combustion chambers are for as little mileage it has on it.....MIGHT be 1000 miles

Well what ya think ......Cant go through this F*****G again.....$$$$$

black carbon on top of pistons is normal and mostly from cold starts and low speed operation

oily is not good, got to watch excessive idling during break in, make sure everything is right and go drive it

Seriously leaking carb/s, or a ruptured fuel pump diaphragm can quickly add a couple of quarts of fuel to the oil pan capacity. Ask me how I know .

Well I have new pump on there that was actually on the 350....

I have another pump to put on it its Darbys pump he was usin on his old ride....
The Carb has been rebuilt with one of Cliffs kits but how do I know if the carb is REALLY leaking ..

I was thinkin of sending it out to have it checked....

I still have the oil filter full of oil, might take it and have it tested for fuel content perhaps...

Possibly could be the root cause of your bearing problem....obvious in the head gasket pic.... and the head pic, get those FAIL PRO head gaskets off and throw them as far away as you can. You will probably have to have he head and block deck re surfaced because of the head gasket failure.

you really need to get a look at all the bearings....tough to see much in your pan pics with the flash glare....

give Butler a call and get a set of his oem type head gaskets. Get his opinion on the fel-pro gaskets. It is obvious the gasket let go between the cyls.

if you look at the gasket between the cylinders the color matches the tops of your pistons. the gasket shouldn't have that discoloration

hope your builder takes care of it
