It's got a Corvette engine.
Boy there must be a lot of Corvettes missing engines, haha.

And apparently all 350's are 375 horse.

In the early 70's I spent many a Friday and Saturday night hanging out at a place called Buckroe Beach. There was a turn of the century amusement park on one side with a wooden roller coaster ride, the beach and sea wall on the other. We would park our cars alongside the boardwalk and watch the people cruise through. It was truely like a scene from American Graffiti. Cars full of girls hollering at the guys, girls walking the beach and boardwalk, and many, many hot cars loping through. It was not uncommon to see cars with cages, open headers or slicks, and even an occasional blower.
The fastest way to start something was to shout "soooie" (as in pig calling) or "mama's car" at another driver. Or sometimes a guy would walk out into the slow moving two lane traffic and stop a potential run. Winners and losers were often decided just up the street, and the losers usually didn't return. Rarely was money and pride at stake, the serious money racers would bait someone there, then travel a bit further to the outskirts.
There were legends and there were losers.

Me and my best friend borrowed his cousin's 72 Buick GSX 455 four speed. (one of 3 made , I believe) Pretty quick but it sucked the gas. We were cruising downtown Elmhurst, IL and he accidentally start out in third gear and killed it. Pretty embarrassing as spectators were laughing. We never raced it since it was a borrowed car. Of course when the got his 73 El Camino 350 back from his cousin the Saginaw 4 speed was trashed. The GSX was eventually destroyed on the mean streets of Chicago.

To go along with the Corvette motor and 3/4 cam... It's been balanced and blueprinted and has a rock crusher.

The smack talk around here usually ended with the question Do you have any money to back up the mouth?

12.90's in true street trim was quick for this area in 1990.

I have two 442's and I'm sick of hearing "does it have a 442 in it?"
