That's the correct engine and head for the 70 GTO.

75 is the paint code for Cardinal Red.

To find out what the engine is, put WA in the engine code input.

Engine Search

Red on Red Buckets - with no vinyl top .
12 = Dec / A = 1st week ---- your body build date
Built at Pontiac Mich plant
So the eBay carb date is within good range for your car.

0298311 is the Engine Unit Number that is stamped right above the Block Code .
Its not supposed to match the VIN - and we/you can't do a whole lot with that number anymore. Unless the car was built/sold in Canada ..... they still keep the EUN data archived .

The VIN will be down low next to the timing cover , like the pictures circled in Blue.
Someday later you might want to get down there and have a good look.

So long as it has WA/64 engine , i'd try for the right carb - is what i was implying.

If the VIN stamp matches - thats ALL The BETTER Too !!
And hopefully it does .

If it had some other variety of engine stuck in there , i wouldn't be as concerned with finding an 0267 carb, necessarily .
