Would this engine actually be doable in a street car? Or is it simply a race engine able to run on "pumped" gas? Nice nimbers none-the-less.

Depends on your definition of "street". Will it be able to drive anywhere, at anytime, at a moments notice, by your grandmother (like say...Jim Hand's wagon)? No. Can you stick it in a Pro-Street chassis and go have fun with it at the local burger joint on a Saturday night where everyone else is cruising? You bet.

Congrats. Walter you have to be very happy with the way things turned out. I hope my engine puts up numbers like yours (if we ever get it together).

Unless you live where there is emissions testing like here. No chance.

This car will be driven on the street. Weekend car shows, pick the kids up from school and of course to the grocery store....I'm not kidding.

We changed the cam, went from a 108 to a 110 and more exhaust duration, put in titanium valves and different headers.

Hmm gained power by widening the LSA. I suppose John Langar and PDude did know a little about building these type engines after all. I really admire the POWER just pondering how much more room there is to grow with the valvetrain. The future looks bright!!! JD

Congrats Walter! that is very impressive. and from a d port heat too! It was good having you here last April with your car. Hope you can make it this year too. Gas prices are down compared to last year so travel costs are too (yea). Either way, enjoy that family street car!
Hope you are able to attend and represent the great state of Texas. Has Tom Demauro seen your car? He'll be here looking for feature cars for HPP magazine.
