Are you looking for the total production of 1970 GTO's with a RAIV and 4 speed, that number is 627 hardtops. I would recommend looking at the www.gtojudgeregistry.com website, you can register your car through that website and help you with numbers of cars that have survived. Also, if you are on Facebook, there is a Facebook group called 1970 & 1971 GTO Judge Registry & Ram Air Cars. Good information in the group.

My car is an automatic and I know there where 140 hardtops built with RAIV and TH400 but I can´t find any information about how many of these was The Judge.

There were 140 1970 GTO hardtops with a RAIV and Auto transmission, there were 13 1970 GTO Convertibles with a RAIV and Auto transmission. There were 72 1970 GTO Judge Hardtops & Convertibles with a RAIV and Auto transmission. There is no breakdown between hardtop and conv for the Judges.

So 72 of the 153 RAIV cars with auto transmission where The Judge leaving 81 plain GTO?
Where can I find this info?

Production numbers on 1970 RA Convertibles

MT w RA 174
AT w RA 114
MT w/RA IV 24
AT w/RA IV. 13

I think those include Judge as well?

There seems to be a 168 Total Judge convertibles
McCarthy book says 37 Judge convertibles with RA IV?
Which matches the known production numbers and transmission breakout.

So, does that mean all RA IV Convertibles were Judges?

no, by previous talleys, which have been noted for many years

12....... RA4 M21 GTO convert
12........RA4 M21 GTO WT1 convert
6..........RA4 M40 GTO convert
6 or 7...RA4 M40 GTO WT1 convert
----------
37 ........Total '70 model RA 4 converts.

Way i always remember it is:
17 total '71 Judge converts & 18 or 19 '70 RA4 Judge converts.

Mike, not that am 100% confident in.

More math...
The existence of 3 YA/YC coded 455 Auto engines in '70 Judge converts brings the Judge convert number down to 165. Subtract 18 or 19 RA4 Judge converts, that leaves 146 or 147 RA3 Judge converts...

One can also talley the 325 total RA converts - 168 Judge Converts = 157 GTO converts (w/o Judge option) w all different RA engines. Subtract the 18 RA4 non Judge RA4 converts, rhat totals 139.

That brings up "were 455 RA aircleaner equipped engines counted in that convertible talley?" As they are not a RamAir engine, I'm betting not!

That leaves us back at 139 WS & YZ engines in '70 GTO converts (w/o WT1).

We know for sure they made at least 1 Ram4 4spd GTO Vert , and 1 Ram4 Auto GTO Vert.
Those are the only 2 GTO Verts publicly known / exposed.

6 Ram4 4spd Jverts
7 Ram4 Auto Jverts
publicly known / exposed.

The 37 total had to come from Fred Simmonds research , so its likely really close if not on the button.
That means 22 out of 37 are MIA ... somewhere
