never tried to get low ets it would run low 14's because i would smoke the tires just for show and to get a rise out of people telling me how i shouldnt treat a rare car like that. lmao i used to beat the living crap out of all my cars that is what they were built for.

Well, The one from Culligan was a couple of blocks from me back in the 80's. The story was that the guy who owned it pulled the original motor and put a BBC in it to race. Someone told him how rare it was and it sat. I wanted to buy it, but it was for sale @$5000, which I didn't have. Don't know if the original drive train ever got reunited.

One of them surfaced in the readers write in section of HotRod magazine .
In the mid to late 80's iirc It was the BigBlock Chevy story on that one. They did a follow up later and the car was real. Seems like it was in Canada ? Someone else might remember more about that ordeal than I do Reggie Jackson sold a restored one around 1990 or 1991 for $100,000 I don't know which car it was from the list - but think it was 4spd |

I’m pretty sure Reggie Jackson never owned one but there’s a chance I’m wrong |

Reggie had one , and sold it not too long after his garage fire destroyed some cars.
The TA Vert was not harmed in the fire. It may have gone to Milt Robson , I'm not totally sure. When Marty got the White Interior 4spd , he told me Reggie had recently sold his for 100k. And he figured his would be worth 125k done right with a WQ. It had some type of P400 engine in it at that time , maybe a 69 WT Think he said he got the car from Dick Bridges And that Mr.B let go of it because he wanted a 69 IV 4spd Hardtop instead of the Vert. Marty had his 69 IV Automatic Hardtop parked next to his Vert that day. They were both in pretty good driver type condition , good cars . It was mind blowing to see 2 single digit production cars in a regular guys garage together. |

BVZ. Marty‘s got his wires crossed. He bought the Trans Am convertible from George in Youngstown Ohio. I set him up with that deal. He then sold it to Dick Bridges . Reggie Jackson is not fitting into the equation from my records but like I said, I could have a glitch . Milt got his 69 ta convs ,1 from me ,one from Boston, the black interior one from Detroit and then the white interior eventually from Rick M

I might be the crossed wire about him getting it from Dick.
Whoever he got it from , he said he was supposed to find them an IV 4spd Hardtop. Was part of the transaction. I might have cross wired the chain with Dick getting it afterwards - instead of previous. But he definitely told me the Reggie story. And I seemed to have recalled that Reggie had one when Marty was telling me about the sale. So it seemed flush at the time. Guess someone would have to contact Reggie , and I have never met him. Milt was a guess on my part , since he had 2 of them. I know you have diligently been involved with these and made tremendous efforts for a long long time. Gratitude for your contributions to our hobby . |
