True but I would have checked more than 1 lobe. In that case every lobe would need to be degreed. I have seen them off from lobe to lobe

I spent two days at CompCams a couple years ago, taking the FAST efi class. They have a BUNCH of cam machines, and they were all running steadily whenever I walked through the shop.
They mentioned back then that they had acquired Lunati, but Lunati was being ran separately. Basically 3 guys that are the owners, and are all car guys.

I just talked with Dean Harvey, Sales Group Director at Comp. He assured me that 100% of their cams are ground in the U.S.A.
He also would not mind knowing who made the Argentina claim.

Good information, thanks for posting. Did he have any input on all the issues with their HR lifters?

He did say that they had supplier issues in the past and that these were corrected with production going to Shaver for Pontiac HR. He mentioned Johnson as another HR supplier for Comp. Both of these manufacturers produce acceptable quality lifters according to him. He said that most of the issues he saw had to do with the lifters sitting on the shelf for a long time, and the lubricant used by the supplier during assembly solidifying and causing problems with operation. I let him know I had heard this explanation before and was skeptical of it. I have personally seen big differences in bleed down rates lifter to lifter which to me speaks of poor tolerance control. After some “discussion” he conceded bleed down rate was an issue and they had acknowledged this internally and had an open initiative to build a bleed down tester for in-house quality control. This has been under discussion for 5 years at Comp according to him and still no hardware has been built, as they do not have a good design concept to accomplish this. I did not leave with the impression that there were going to be any changes. So I think it is then up to the engine builder to check bleed down on each lifter during assembly, and expect that there will be some failures in each batch, and to replace these under warranty as needed. Or buy Crane lifters at significantly more money which reportedly do not have these issues.
