@GV455; what kind of afco rear shocks are 1/3rd the $377 price?
@gman005; are Viking rear shocks affordable, like under $125/pair?
@JSPONT; are QA1 rear shocks like under $125/pr?

Hey how about a pair of affordable rear shocks that HELP 60 foot over "replacement shocks"??????

The Viking crusaders are around 300 a pair shipped from Vikings. Get the AM valving from the get go. Get the front first then the rear when the budget allows. JS Pontiac is the 10.88 run on the track? I think you need to run some real slicks as your car is making some serious power. Good luck. I'm sure my car will be like yours when I get it out this summer.

Street, I am a street guy, I need it to hook better on the street. At the track I am pretty sure it will hook. I will find out this spring (if my health issue lets me)
It drive me crazy to see some some guys faster than me hook with stock suspensions. Nothing fancy.
I did not do a good burnout either and it was 27 degrees on an unprepped road.

The car is making power, on the the street the torque hurts me. If I every did it over, I would have done a shorter stroke for a turbo street car to loose some torque.

To get it to hook on a street aurface you will probably be better off investing in a boost controller. Ease the boost. Also...go with a bias ply soft side wall tire. Drag radials do not recover from spinning nearly as well as a soft side wall tire. Ive tried many options in my street race days.

I try and leave on 5 psi, that is on a M/T 28x10.5 slick. I"ll figure it out, it sucks it's so cold out now. Spring fever!

With the spohn adjustable upper arms, maybe they need adjusted to hook?
The stock type is very bad for any kind of traction usually.
(made for comfort and softness originally)

It would be best to have the suspension scaled.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. My best friend just went thru it. He is fine now. It is just the fatigue you get makes you a little lazy. I just hope I have the energy to get the car where I want it this year

Some add a spacer to the upper arm mount so you can move the arms up. Since the car is street driven so much, they do not want me to pre load to much. There is a line between street and race car. I got to be right on that line. I will get it, test and tune..

I didn't know u were trying to hook on a street road and its 27 degrees out!
That will take a lot! I agree with a boost controller, it should help , but very little hooks on a cold road like that!

PTC bolt together, th 400 FTI brake, it's real tight till you add boost! The converter seems to work well. I was hoping to add a controller this season. It's a real budget, blow thru set up.
