Here's the wire I bought at this link. 0.006" or 4/0 (four ought). A pound of it in a box is 10,404 feet long. You don't want to drop that and have it come unraveled! Price is way off from what I paid. They have it wrong on the web site. It was under $15. They must have added a trailing zero.

The tensile strength is 415,000 PSI minimum. I suspect that is a higher rating than the original wire they used 40+ years ago.
