Got to agree with Mike, it's worth saving. The existence of nice original doorpanels & the original rear seat goes a long ways in that thought process. Also, it's nice to have the original manual trans with the car. Hopefully, the original shifter & other small parts are there as well.

Wanting to keep the interior pure, a front standard bench shouldn't be a nightmare to come up with, just don't expect a perfect green vinyl '70 23337 bench. Next week, I plan on pulling some 233 seats down & going through the measuring & taking pics, again. Mentioned i'd do it Norm, finally getting some time.

The stitching on the bottom of the front seat is the differcence, it is one flat panel of parody cloth on a '70, & has more fore & aft stitching on the '71 parody cloth & vinyl bench (or on a '72 bench like trim code 241).

The other thing one has to note a 2 door Post car takes a wider rear seat, making a pattern for a '71 GT-37 rear seat, will need example from a hardtop

When it comes time for my to have the 4 cow hides of leather in parchment color I have turned into the GT-37 seat trim covers my rear seat is in perfect condition and will make a perfect 1971 pattern. This car will have no vinyl on the seats. Even the seat backs and headrest will be covered in leather.

My son in law decided to pass on the car, he wants a GTO and I have tried to figure out where I would put this car if I bought it and I just don't have any room to store it. My garage and storage space is all taken. If anyone is interested in it, send me a PM and I will send you the sellers contact info. I am not looking for a finders fee. The car is about an hour from Asheville, NC.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't very clear. My Son in law is trying to buy a 65 GTO right now. He ran into this 70 1/2 GT-37 while he is trying to put together a deal on the 65 GTO. I thought he might want both of them and wanted to see what you guys thought. I have one car at the restoration shop now and 2 waiting. My warehouse and garage are full. Dinner would be cold for a long time if I brought another one home that had to stay in the driveway so I have to pass on this one.

I was asked about a new addition in my signature. I recently bought an all original, numbers matching 68 Ram Air GTO. The Boss commented that there aren't many 4.33 cars with their original engines. It was not in reference to the 70 1/2 GT-37.

Know I parted a 4 door T-37 sedan with '71 jade green int. Its door panels, as well as the kickpanels were PRIMO condition, but no one wanted them in green. Ended up scrubbing them real well, prepped them, & dyed them black.
My '71 2-door hardtop T-37 (Late July '71 build) is a 236 Jade green car...here is how it looked the day I acquired it back in 1995 (now has a '71 Sandalwood bucket interior).

Yep, I can see both now too.

Where did you pick up the car - outside of a prison?
