Yeah, that's one of the options. It definitely has a small leak. I messed around with the linkage adjustments last night and made it better. but it still slips under heavy acceleration. I think I need to adjust it more as there is only about a 1/2 inch of free play. I'll mess with it tonight and post an update.

Cool Story Blue 50 mi on the clutch sounds to me an adjustment issue or rear main seal leak as others have posted look forward to seeing her in paint and nice job so far

I've decided to get the stock rally gauges working. If anyone knows how to test the gauges or has any info about the specifications please let me know. this is what I am starting with. was the battery gauge just a light? any one have any good resources? Here are the remains of my stock cluster and a 67 lemans idiot light cluster.

With the slipping clutch you may want to clean the flywheel with some brake clean. After it is clean then adjust it.
