1981 Turbo
My '81 Turbo. I have all the original papers, floor mats. Motor is gone, was a 301 Turbo. Now houses a '77 6.6L. Second registered owner. Slowly coming out to be a nice car and then crunch. See post "It's a Write Off!!" Currently looking for another.

Ironically that probably saved it. Sitting in a A/C controlled environment was probably the best thing for it.

That was an amazing transformation! Hopefully your next one won't be as hard.

He definitely put a lot of time and effort into getting the car road worthy and his family and friends (I'm family) were glad to hep. It's just too bad that it met a fateful end on April 14th.

I am restoring a 79 10th anniversary original 400 4sp t/a for my daughter. It started out as a car in a field and was very rough with plenty of rust and missing parts.
Here's a pic of the car last weekend when i started to put paint on it. We hope to have it done in a couple three more months. |

Frans455,
Love the Cars and Concepts roof. My 77 has the same thing. I had mine put in in 1986 shortly after purchasing my T/A. Still no problems to this day...of course I quit driving her daily in 1991. Just gets out on nice days nowadays! I still prefer the factory roof for looks overall but the C&C is a great conversation piece at cruise-ins and shows! Oh yeah....GREAT looking TA too! Thanks for the compliments guys!
Well, I had a donor Fisher roof with glass panels - the works ... laying around ... Problem was that when I bought the T/A in 1995 I had plexiglass panels on the car - which fit very poorly. A few years later I found several C&C glass panels along with the plastic interior caps etc. So the need for a roof conversion disappeared and I decided to keep the C&C roof. The car needs work though in, the familiar areas (trunk, rear panel etc), but I will get to it ... The car is resting under a cover in the garage, cause the last 6 years I've been working on my 1950's house. Gas prices in Europe are outrageous, so in future a propane conversion will be done. By the way, look at this pic:
