Have you installed sub-frame connectors yet?

Axle tubes welded to the center section?.....Cliff

I run Competition Engineering Slapper bars on 2 of my Trans Ams Both cars have roll bars & tied frames.
1.3600lbs 455 N/A 10.10-10:20s 8.5 10 bolt ,spool, Moser axels,c clip eliminator, brace,3:90 gears,slicks 1.33-1.35 60ft
edelbrock heads 12:1 roller with an A-1 turbo 350 W/Tranny brake3800stall
2.3800ibs 455 N/A Runs high 11s 8.5 10 bolt auburn super pro posi ,Moser axels,c clip eliminator,3:73gears ,street slicks 1.7-
1.8 60ft. 455 670 heads roller cam, 2500 stall
The point is that both cars hook real good and it is a simple way to get a second Gen T/A to hook. These bars are long and the snubber is under the spring eyelet.these both are running beefed up 8.5 10 bolts You can make it work.Mark

Cliff, no subframe connectors. Yes the tubes are welded as one tube broke loose years ago. When I had the rear out to weld up I also installed poly spring perch pads.

I guess I got some thinking to do this winter.

Another thing is to try some tighter front shocks-yes tighter not 90-10 or 80-20s. Often the car lifts too easily with them and doesn't have the HP to keep it lifted so the front drops unloading the rear and spin, then possible bog when it rehooks.

Chased what I thought was a carb bog with multiple carbs tweaking them until I tried that. In fact I think Jim Hand uses soem tighter front shocks also.

FWIW 1.5 60 fts with just leaf spring and a 9" slick no bars no Cal Tracs. Front half is stiffer and clamps like the old Mopar Super Stock springs.
