Attached is a worksheet I use, when I assemble a set of plug wires. Measure the ohms and the length, divide, and each wire SHOULD be pretty darned close. If one is more than about 5% different, then something is wrong. I've found bad crimps at the plug connector as well as wires that have a bad spot internally - I've seen problems with MSD, Accel, and Moroso. But Moroso Blue Max have overall been the least prone to issues, in my experience.

I use a set of these spark plug terminal crimpers - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-900399 and they work great. The jaws are interchangeable, and I also have a set of jaws for Weatherpack/Deuthsch connectors.

EDIT: I guess I can't attach a spreadsheet. I converted it to a .jpg Fill out the sheet as you assemble the wires, then you have something for reference later on, if you suspect the wires have an issue.

I've been using Taylor 409's for years, no issues, no reason to change it up.

I use the FAST 8mm wires,,,the spark plug boot angle is perfect. After all the years I finally bought a summit crimper,,,definitely makes the job almost enjoyable.

Moroso Ultra 40 wires for me. Very durable heavy duty pieces.

Very happy with the Taylor StreeThunder wires I put on my engine. They come pre-terminated on the spark plug end with the correct 135-degree boots, and includes boots for HEI or points distributors. Probably took me about an hour to cut-to-length, crimp, and install them.
