Thanx for bring that up, Joe, as I've wondered about that...Would make sense though with a track close by and the 5oh in full force...Who knows, there's a little 'bit of Mexico no matter where you are. I've wanted to go for a few years and since I now have to put a bar in it for PINKS all-out this summer, I might as well since I would've been tossed out before for sure for safety issues, or lack there of...I hope it ends up being better in '09 than '08(I read alot of what others here had to say about it...) and the weather is good. Besides, it's only four hours from me and I know you have a big hike to make it....Who knows, if fuel prices stay in check next summer('09), I do plan on a 405 visit to put some faces to names and have some fun on the street with the fastest street cars on the planet....So close to Dallas-seems like the home of juice bars in my book....There you can really go broke in style w/o the Amish beards.....

The good Canadians will kill you with excesses of rich food, like lamb kabobs, and that strong Canadian beer.
Oh, I forgot to mention the Celine Dion people, scary, scary, scary!!! I'm still having nightmares over it...and when they offered up some PBR?
Just when I think I'm past it, Carole starts singing that song from Titanic and it all comes back to me with a vengance.
Maybe this year we can give them Region Warrior as the sacraligical virgin so they'll have someone to "enjoy" this time. They really missed Bud and Phil this past year.

Been going except for the first year.I wondered about the street scene.I do know one who was involved in the street scene elsewhere, but never mentioned Norwalk. As Tom said its a great track I've always kept racing there.Be careful paying your motel bill. A certain place the clerk performed a slight of hand with us ,then someone else ,saying we didn't pay her enough. If cash count it out in front of her-she counted it below the counter then said we owed more.We b-- to the mgr but no good so we moved. again maybe it was just that one person who knows. The times have always been great! Lots of great people and cars.

Was that the Norwalk Inn? I had a room reserved there one year and when I got there, they told me they were already booked up. I said how can you be booked up when I've had a reservation for the last 9 months? Turns out they sold my room as an extra to one of their regular customers. Never called on them again. Place was run by foreigners anyway.

Don't be hatin. Never had a problem with the Norwalk Inn. Ask Rex about the Porno channel available there. Never knew it for 2 years till he told me. Bwahahahahahahaha.

You just wanted to move to the other Motel so you could have your Obama family reunion in the hot tub. To bad pics were never taken.

If you do not feel like posting here, feel free to PM me with some details.

Also, is there any sort of stock suspension or 10.5" class there or is it all bracket racing? Im not gonna be fast, just wanna have fun.

Thanks, Joe
I'm sure sh*t for brains will be there and can match race his T/A if your looking. If it's back together for the umteenth time blowin it up.

Lil Jack is always ready........ if his wife isn't pregnant & he has to baby sit his curtain climbers.

You want to do the limited tire, power adder or limited chassis heads up deal. Might want to check into the Pontiacs in the Park race in May, Virginia. Check with dead69bird on here.

It's all fun in the pits after the race. Just keep a ear open for a Brigg's & Stratten motor !!! That will mean Phil's back on Bud's old scooter and it doesn't have brakes !! And the rider ain't right...
It's safer after atv's,bikes,& scooter are grounded..you could get run over..
And yep...I'm guilty too..
There is a group of us that make "The Midnight Walk"...coolers & all.

Street racing in Ohio would be pretty damn risky. Ohio has more cops per capita than any state I have ever been in. There's the local cops that are in every little village and town, the sheriffs, and the state cops and you never ever know when one is gonna be coming the other way on the road and they all have rolling radar or lasers in every car. The state cops have radar to the front and back in their cars. There is a reason that the truck drivers call it the communist state. Some cops will give you 10 over and some won't, ask me cause I know first hand.

There is great 410 and 305 dirt Sprintcar racing about 30 miles west of Norwalk in Fremont that my wife and I go to on Saturday nite. Anyone that would like to follow us over there is welcome.

I was not there but the way I heard the story, "dead69bird" opened up a large can of "Woop-AZZ" on your deal, Kenny, my friend.

I think street racing died in the early 90’s around here. I have never really been into it anyway. With a track as good as Norwalk why risk it? The Ohio state troopers have been known to sit just east of the track and wait for an idiot to take off spinning tires leaving. I’m an hour west of the track and would rather go there than listen the trash talking street racers in Toledo. Been to every Tri-Power and it's going to take death to stop me.

This was years before the "reunion". Like I said, I had a reservation for 9 months...when I show up I expect it to still be there and not sold out from under me to someone else. How would you have felt in that situation, Ken?

The Norwalk Best Western screwed us like that one year for "Night Under Fire". Had rooms reserved and guaranteed with a credit card. Got there at 2 a.m. and they had given the rooms away. I pointed out that the credit card guarantee was supposed to mean that I got charged for the rooms even if they stayed empty all night. Turns out....that's not the way they do things. Credit card guarantee is meaningless there.

I wonder if my boycott has put them under yet?

I tried searching old posts for pictures of who to beware of out there. The caped crusader wearing oven mitts and the butt pirate captain riding his motorcycle around ( I have to give him credit now that he stepped up to a Harley).
