Thank you for leaving this tread alone.

I am maybe not a kid but proud to be young at mind.

Here is a copy of your Email to me :

Hei Espen

Gi meg et tilbud på den, jeg glemte at je har lagret den I et bygg som ligger noen mil på utsiden av byen og tar meg litt tid å dra dit. Og det gidder jeg ikke hvis jeg ikke får noe for den.

Hilsen Roar

I will translate :

Give me an offer on it, I did forget that I stored it in another building that is a about 12 miles from town and it will take me some time to get there. And I do not bother with it if I do not get paid for it

My answer sendt from my Iphone :

Hei Roar
Ser den, men kan du ikke bare si hva du syns er fornuftig for den ?
Liker som sakt ikke og gi bud på ting siden det kan slå negativt ut.

Translation :
I understand, but cant you just say what you think is sensible for it ?
As I said so do I not like to give offers as it could have a negative effect

And that Email did you never answer before you posted here and did state that it was sold.

Ohh my youngest daughter did read your post here regarding how many cars you have
(Quote :this part will be installed on another pontiac he got it practically for free and I am cleaning the garage for old junk I dont need, oh we are many driving pontiacs here. Got 5 gtos myself and 3 other pontiacs. and a bunch of other old american cars.)
Here is what she said http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...99#post4527199

And last I just want to mention that I gladly would have paid you 1000 Nok (160-170 USD)for it + shipping, guess you did a bad deal on that cowl and not respond to my mail

And some more parts today, from our sponsor I got the floorpan, lift hook and battery tray (Actually pretty good repro, will repaint it to match the other parts but I would not have a problem to use it as is), they forgott to put the transmission mount in the box, but they will send me a new one, no hassle.

Then we have the alternator bolt and spacer from the bay, and a correctt alternator bought from another forum.

So then I am almost up to date on the correct parts I need, just need a new fan and the starter motor.

that's not the correct alternator, correct one would be 'open-face' front housing. The one you have appears to be dated 1974

Default Cam thoughts..

I was thinking of replacing the 067 with a 068 cam, but after some looking around I could like to try comp cam 51-208-4 ( http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...csid=1209&sb=2 )

What do you guys think ? CR will be close to 9.0, 3.31 rear, stock carb, intake and so on.

And then the drive shaft

Was the paint markings (Red,White,White) brushed or sprayed on ?
And it is getting there, hopefully it will be rust free tomorrow.

Loffen - you can second-guess camshafts until the cows come home, but Pontiac engineers really did a great job with the 068 stick.

Use the SPC-7 068 replacement and 1.65 rockers, or the Summit 2801 "high-lift" 068 with 1.5s, IMO. Can't go wrong with either! Personally, I'd go with the 2801 and the 1.5 rockers.

Ohh the cows are at home for the winter, no problem

Ok ok so what spring would you recommend for the 2801 and would it need screew in studs ?

As far as the valve springs go - someone with more experience than myself needs to chime in.

Most definitely have the cylinder heads drilled and tapped for screw-in rocker studs.

Default Some updates

It has been some lazy days here, the driveshaft, alternator, distributor,TCS valve and horn relay is done.
I did also sandblast and paint the battery tray, fan housing and some brackets, I did also take the inner fenders/wheel house but I had problems with the paint so they will be done again together with the body.

My painters new paint boot is also soon done so I guess I will start on the body soon.
And my interior and exhaust system has been shipped from the US together with the engine paint from summit.

And still some time before I get the engine back, should be here 13-14 of february, I have not orderd any parts for it yet and are still thinking about the camshaft..

What were you using on the driveshaft? Did it remove the rust?

Yes boss it did
But to get it right you have to do it is several steps, first I used the Eastwood gel rust dissolver, it took about 2 days on this shaft, I did also change the gel several times and cleand it with a whool sock to get the rust off without leaving any marks, then it was cleaned with hot water ( you really have to make sure you get all the gel off, Eastwood says that you should use their pre (thinner) to clean it but it does not work)
So after it has dried up you will get some flash rust, that is ok becouse now you will use the Eastwood fast etch, just spray it on and let it work for a couple of minutes and wipe off, then clean it up with thinner and give it a couple of coates of clear and you are done.

Another question, I bought a lot of R46S spark plugs and got two PF-30 oil filters on the deal, any problem to use them on my 455, it should be PF-24 but the PF-30 is the older version or ?

This is not a big issue, I got the for free and will put them on the shelf if I can not use them.
