Make your plane reservations now!

Hope to be there with video camera in hand.

Good luck Gach.

If anything you will have a good day at the track. First time out after a long break is always a great feeling, so enjoy it.

Hopefully you have nice weather, maybe it'll run better with some chilly temps. Good luck!

I'll be there with my video camera. Hell, I might just bring da Bird and line up next to ya! I'm dying to see what effect the gear change is going to have and I really don't want to wait for the spring to find out. We'll have Doc Rob shoot the video since his TA is in winter hibernation already. Look at it this way Lou, if you get to the stripe first, on pump gas and 100 lbs heavier and 30 less cubes than me on race fuel...then you got bragging rights, plus $450 cash. Sounds like a deal to me. How much is the rental? $200/per car like usual?

Ad-hoc Pontiac Test & Tune right?
I could leave straight from work, and try for blistering low 12s. ...finally do all them carb&intake evals.

Talking

Rumor has it that Gach consulted the "Farmers Almanac" before he called the track and it's gonna snow The first week of Dec. So he should still be safe with his past 9.45.

Ummm, no....my heap is not leaving the garage again until it is race ready, which won't be until I get back to the store to purchase some pruning tar and JB-Weld to finish it.

If you are interested in the rental for your own heap, I think you have to contact the track to get on the "hold" list like Gach did, and when they have someone back out, they'll contact you.

Talking New Forum Needed?????

I have spent way too much time reading this thread every day. If this doesn't happen, I will not be happy. But then again listening to all you guys poke Gach and his not being able to ignore it are entertaining. I guess if it doesn't happen then we have a couple of more months of this entertainment. I am sure it keeps the count up on the website. Maybe we should have another forum added: Drama/Gach/Can't let it go!/Whining That would just about cover all the entertaining stuff that really is not about Pontiacs or Racing.

I could give him the benefit of the doubt and bring a jug or two of 93 octane unleaded. 87 octane?

So let's recap Dude's criteria based on Gach's claims.

2 runs, 9.45 or better, at 3360 lbs. race weight, on pump gas. I could agree with someone else mentioning a fudge factor of 1% (which means he could be as slow as 9.544 and as light as 3326 lbs.)...what say ye Mr. Keefer?

No. A time is a time. weight is weight. This isn't an NHRA record run. LOL. You run 1% off your dial in or index bracket................. you will lose.
9.54 is a looooooooooooong way off from 9.45 when your trying to get that last little it. Same deal with weight.

I'll pay for the 5 gallons of 93 octane.

Gach what brand ya like? Your call.
