I'm looking forward to seeing everyone during move-in days. Once we know where the display is, I'll be marking off the floor for each car. They will be in chronological order with '70 at one end and the '74's at the other with 71, 72, & 73's in between. I may be bookending the display with both black cars (Pontiac Museum/Tim Dye's '70 and Bob's Bennett's recently finished '72). Don't forget your move-in papers you got from the Ashton's and Safe Travels!

I am already in Lafayette, IN, (The town where my car was originally delivered by O.M. Foxworthy Pontiac) and will be finishing the drive into Chicago tomorrow for my load-in window of 2:00-8:00PM. Can’t wait to see everyone. I”m having a hard time keeping my car strapped down in the car hauler; I think she knows she is in her original stomping grounds and wants to cruise the streets tonight! How cool to have this car in the town it was originally sold in. I plan to try to get by the dealership tomorrow and see if they have some old photos from back in the Pontiac days. And to know that I’ve owned two virtually identical cars from the same dealership, in the shadow of Purdue University, 42 years apart, is just icing on the cake. I was surprised at how small Lafayette is, but O.M. Foxworthy knew how to order some sweet Firebirds!

See you Formula displayers today too. I'll be driving in around 4 pm then, it up from road trips to and from Dayton and to show.

Last night drove over to see Sean's progress...

Last bit of fluffing in place.

Had to burn off some gas to get the tank down...

My first time to MCACN. Looking forward to LOTS of neat cars! I think it will be my first time to see an SD Formula too!

Got into the show no problem. Wrapped up some cleaning and chatted with a few friends and look forward to the weekend!

Was a well attended show! The show itself has blossomed into the ultimate car show for variety and cool themed displays with stunning race history unveilings!

The Fabulous Formula Display got major placement within show. Sandwiched between an amazing Boss 9 display and Hemi Cudas...

Dennis set up the cars nicely with tasteful boards of information and promotional materials. With the Black on Black Bookends...

The 12 cars that comprised the display was full of colors and options that represented the Formula from 70-74 very nicely!

Great Job Dennis!!

Well said Mike. Dennis did a great job herding us cats and getting everything organized. If that wasn't enough, he and Dan gave up their Saturday to do the F-Body Concours judging. They both make significant contributions to our hobby and are to be commended.

Fantastic show & a huge success for our Pontiacs!

Dennis did a fantastic job of representing the Fabulous Formulas & like Mike said they got a prime location dead center in the show.

Class of 72 was well represented with a pair of Lucerne Blue HO's, Tim's freshly finished TA & Jody's fantastic GTO anchored that display.

The early birds stood tall too with 67, 68 & 69 Ram Air cars with each one getting represented 67 RA convertible, Truman Fields RA I race Car, RA II, III & IV birds both in hardtop & convertible form and 69 TA's in hardtop & convertible.

To top it off there were a number of A-Body Ram Air Convertibles including Rob Lozen's RA II/Auto & John Zaruca's Flambeau Burgundy RA II/4spd Convertible along with a pair of notable RA IV 70 Judge Convertibles and a 69 RA IV Convertible fresh out of restoration.

Several other TA's were there as well including Kevin Beal's #1, Ron Allen's freshly restored RA IV/Auto (owned for 35 years) and Chuck's RA III - he also brought a very cool RA V powered 68 Firebird Race car that had Truman Fields drooling!

Special thanks to Bob & Doug for handling dinner reservations & getting us all there and congratulations to Darrell & Bob for an amazing 997 out of 1000 score for the black HO - simply incredible!!!

Hey Chris,

Not to mention the remarkable Silver 70 Knafel Judge on display for the first time. Said to be one of 3 memo cars that got the RAV as a crate thru Pontiac.

And a couple of barn find Judges 70 and a CC bench seat hood tach 4 speed stripper 71...

Had a great time, like to congratulate Bob, who I always enjoy seeing, and Mike on his award on the 72 Sundance car, one of my favorite colors.
