Hey Brewster, you didn't happen to own your '73 auto in 1991 did you, and go to the T/A Nats?

Nice Brian!

I suppose you own the copyright to the photo because you took it but you should get a release from the owner of that Sweeeeeeet 74.

I just love that picture.

As far as the light surface rust that you found, I would wire brush as thoroughly as you can and them apply some sort of rust inhibiting primer and then paint it.

Rust is the enemy of these fine cars.

Afternoon Robert,
I was wondering how long it would take before you noticed that awesome hood option.
How is the car anyway ? almost done I hope.
I cant make the Gathering now due to a couple trip to Vegas with Sean and his wife.
What else is there ? Pontiac Nationals, but when is that ?
Got to show off this new 4-speed some where.

Cool Go To Vegas in May!!!!

You can go to Vegas anytime! Why schedule it during the only show you can go to?

The car is coming along fine. Having trouble getting the heads back in a timely manner. You know how it is when you have no control over it.

Hope to be done in about a month or so.

Heh-heh! No, didn't see the shaker option there! There was a guy I talked with at the '91 nats with a brewster auto, was curious, that's all. Thought it may have been you, figured I'd take a shot in the dark there. I was running a full roller 455 with 2x4s, and the judges were going back & forth for fourth place between mine & a '67, light custom class, who got the nod by the way. I didn't care, I was there for fun anyway.

Yup, that's salt water, Atlantic to be exact! Guess I shouldn't have ignored the sign, eh? Heh-heh! Shoot, it rained so much on the tour that it easily was rinsed, 100 times over! Most joked about how all the motels/hotels up & down the east coast were having a towel shortage! I STILL have like 20 or so I use to wash & wax with! Heh-heh!

Anyway, here's a shot from the '91 nats, right before I drove up. Crappy pics, I scanned them, and it was dirty, lived on a dirt driveway at the time. May even have posted one on the Offy thread...

Um, you know, that rings a bell, but couldn't say for sure. I remember the guy drove it there, and it was a haul, so could have been. And I am almost certain I've seen the tags before. Someone you know Larry?

Well I don't know if this guy would have driven it. It was on the ISCA circuit in late '80s, as well as the old Muscle Car Nationals "Platinum show car" series.
He owned both the brewster green car and a '73 SD buccaneer red car.
Both cars were featured in the pages of Muscle Car Review sometime in the 80's.
They were sold a few years ago.
At one time there were 6 SD T/As in the Houston area alone.
I believe I have the only one now.

Well, I could be wrong about him driving it there, shoot, it was 15 years ago! I'll have to look, I have pics of it, it was the only one there, and it was the best example I can remember ever seeing outside of a showroom in '73. I'll find the pic tonight and I'll scan it and post it. 6 in the area down there!?! Cool! Absolutely my favorite combo, and had nothing to do with 'the movie' either! Your's a numbers car?
