You know George he has already mopped the track with dozens of cars with better heads and bigger engines. You seem to be sure it's the fault of the Edelbrock heads.....do you realize that makes no sense to a reasonably normal person. Your thoughts are if you CAN beat them you might as well join them......that's backwards thinking.....just saying.

That’s history.....the whole 405 is going big engine and twin turbos or pro charger!
Racers that stay in the past.....gets past bye!

Back to the topic... Jeff's car is the most impressive in my opinion out of the ECM. He is laying down incredible e.t.'s. Obviously a well tuned combo.. car and engine.

Their close yes, but he's at least a point higher comp? And yes I do have more converter and gear etc, The only true test would be the exact same sizes everywhere in that e head and that's just a lot of screwing around for possibly nothing, and that still may not prove anything, as those heads may like more or less then what i already have in my drive train u know? How do u know my ports are bigger? maybe in dimension at port opening, but they get small damn quick inside. I would leave like i did now on my 2 step foot brake, apples to apples

With your valve size and port opening if they aren't bigger there's a lot of room for improvement. An efficient engine won't need a crutch to get it to leave hard. That's why I asked about you foot braking.... you buy the castings and I'll supply the rest including the headers. You can keep the better set of heads when your done testing.

I didn’t say no lol, just I plan on moving into a different head in a year or two , honestly leaning towards Barton’s hi ports , but we’ll see how this new engine goes first !!

I build quite a few high powered turbo engines and some of the heads cost around 10k and run sevens....they just seem like a pretty good deal to me.
I HIGHLY doubt that you can build big chief heads complete ready to run for $3200. So what does that $3200 have to do with big chief's heads?

I agree, they might have the 350cfm std port, but I bet the rest of it is the best parts you can get. He would be foolish not to.
I just dont know why he has not at least went to the 410+cfm E heads.
Pocket change to him.

You think Big Chief is running stock valves, valve springs, retainers, and stud mounted rockers?? If he is that is pretty impressive spinning things to close to 9,000rpm with 50+lbs of boost with those stock cheap parts.

Doesn't matter what I think. I doubt they charge extra to remove the rocker studs and guide plates though!

Are you his banker? You talk to all kinds of people why not ask him why he didn't try a 410 cfm E-head.
