70 GTO Mint Turquoise/saddle convertible in SC at $30K with reserve. Claims to have added "every option" and it does appear there are a lot of cool options. Power windows on a convertible is a really cool option to have. If you've not owned a convert, you have to roll up and down every window if you don't have PW. Not a fan of the shifter or steering wheel, but you can't have everything. Nice car.

69 Firebird V8 4-speed Gateway car in Georgia at $42K BIN. Nice looking paint with a 12 bolt. Ad states it has a V8, but that's it, so it's probably a 350. Typical bolt-ons and I'm not sure where that shifter boot came from, but overpriced IMO. No power options, so front drum brakes is a minus. Typical Gateway verbiage where they say the same thing about the history of the Firebird without describing the car. No clear pics of the dash, which makes me think there's a reason.

oh how I hate those cheap seat covers with no definition in the pleats.
Look at the front and then the back seat. Its painful to look at.

PUI brand most likely...although it seems to me that I've read somewhere that they have an improved version available now. That is one sharp '69 though. I agree that the price too high. Love the look, color, stance and the Cragars. It would look great with Rally IIs or Torque Thrusts too.
I'm liking that Grand Prix too.

Big turn off for me. I can spot them a mile away. I'd rather have worn out originals than that.

I guess I don't navigate ebay very well... I don't see the interior or engine pics of the maroon '69 FB on the auction just like I don't see the rusted frame pics on the black '66 GTO on the previous page. I see them here but not on the auctions.

There's two sets of pics. The ones you see when you open the ad are usually about 10 pics max. Right above the "Vehicle Description" you'll see some small pics with a button with a right arrow that says "Full size photos". If you click on that you'll usually get about 30 pictures.

68 red/red GTO convert at $15K in Texas with a reserve. The red interior is super sharp and looks more burgundy than Firethorn... same with the outside color. The dash is darker, which I assume is original.

69 GTO 4-speed NR in Michigan at $2500 NR. The 68-70 GTO's look so much better as GTO's than a tribute Judge IMO.

Sharp black 78 Trans AM 4-speed in Texas at NR $16.9K. Might be the lighting, but the seat velour looks like grandma's couch.

68 Firebird convertible in NC with a reserve and BIN at $38K, Has a 383 Chebby engine. I don't think a tan top was available new? Interior looks nice, but what appears to be a drop in cup holder has gotta go.

69 Firebird Sprint convertible 3 speed in Canada at $29K BIN OBO. No engine pics, but comes with a "Man A FRE" tripower intake and carbs... whatever that is. Claims to be "triple green" but the top looks black. Green tops are uber rare and uber expensive to have put on. Anyone know where that posted data came from?

Those Sprint numbers came from Fred Simmonds. They're trustworthy.
My Firebird is a Limelight green Sprint convertible from Lordstown, Dec 68 build date. Had 218 black Custom trim and black power top, 3 speed manual. Interesting that there's no engine, undercar or data plate photos. Last edited by einstein; 08-02-2023 at 12:05 AM. |
