I agree, I was just thinking with the Warp 6 you could bypass the 7's altogether.

We'll be at Norwalk with the Wammer Jammers. Stop by and we can talk Pontiacs.

A couple of pics to show that the concept has some (351 Cleveland) engineering foundation:

This is what I was talking about Don with the "split port" intake configuration which works actually pretty well.

Tom, are those being used or sold now? Or is that an earlier version of the Cleveland heads? That is very similar to what I have done, and I can tell you from my flow bench testing. That the ports definitely liked being split into two. Basically you have two ports sharing the same valve. Just the opposite of two valves sharing the same port like they have now for multi valve heads.

Flyin79bird, The street version is not. I am considering it though for the race version. I need to play with some different ideas in the cad program before I decide. The cool part about my new 5 heads. Is I did not put a combustion chamber in the casting, we are machining it into the final product. So really the basic casting is very versatile and what ever someone can dream up can be done. The only problem I see right now is. There is limited real-estate under the valve cover. When you start canting valves you need allot of room.

Jack,
I can't believe you are serious, as MUCH as you bad mouth them every chance you get (and you do) why on Gods green Earth would they ever want to sell you a set or even deal with you. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but seriously. I have no idea why they won't deal with you, maybe its your sparkling petsonality, I'm juat saying! I do know a few racers who have bought them, so do they will sell them! Try a set of one of the aluminum RA5 heads out there.

Jack I hope your talking about the warp6's, because I don't think that you have inquired about my heads. If you did, I did not get the message or email. Or I would have responded to you.

Serious as a heart attack. The only time I would say I bust KREs balls is there lack of racing and seems to me unpreparedness at Norwalk. And those claims are founded in truth IMHO.

No Don I was actually talking about the Warp 6 heads.

I think the RAV is going to be a great head thanks for taking the time and money to add it to the Pontiac arsenal.

The "Mirror Yates" was never offered for sale Don.

Good Info in this link. http://speedtalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7986

Yates and Ford were involved in several projects for the SB Cleveland engine. Some other design were sold to Racers out of the Motorsports catalog, some were not. The guy who ran the NASCAR program for Ford, LEE MORSE, hired me into Ford 35 years ago. Lee was the guy who proved to me that if you put the "rotation" of the combustion chamber in the wrong spot, in relation to the crank centerline, the head will not make power. Something that the "other guys" have a had time grasping.

Thanks Jack for clearing that up. I get allot of phone messages and emails, and some times I miss one. Just making sure I'm not forgetting you. Thanks for the compliment!!!

Tom, Thanks for the info. Your right about valve locations and bore center lines. I just had a good conversation with my buddy Dale Eicke yesterday about intake valve locations and it's effect on power. He has forgotten more than I know about air flow and is very knowledgeable about making big power normally aspirated. One of the things we discussed was the pushrod tube in the port, and he did not think it was a big deal if properly executed. He also stated though that thinking to much will get you into trouble in a hurry too LOL. Some times engines don't always react like you think they should and defy the laws of physics.

George, I can't wait to see your car with a set of zoomies hooked to a set of 5 heads whether they be mine or Mike and Eric's billet heads. Either one will look cool. It looks like there is going to be some fast ram air 5 cars coming soon.

Talked with the machine shop yesterday, and all they have left to do is machine the chambers and put in the spark plug holes. So hopefully by the end of the week or top of next week I will get the first set of heads here for testing. I know allot of you are waiting in anticipation, but nobody wants them more than I do Sigh !!!

I actually have access to a Core Box for the "Mirror-Yates" Single Cylinder combustion chamber, etc Don. Probably have data somewhere too for the thing on the bench.

No engine defies the Laws of Physics. Just sometimes we do not understand the Physics Inter-actions taking place at that moment.
