Gorgeous, I've been foot braking leaving the line at 1,900 to 2,000 rpm for fear of shearing gears and that's what happened. If you remember I only used my tranny (break) one time, last year at the Pontiac Nats here in Tulsa, and was only at about 2,400 rpm when I let go of the button, twisted the U joint and yoke out of the rear.

It's insane how quick these blower engines make instant power. Just think how much instant torque this engine makes for me to launch this 3,250 lb beast at 2,000 rpm and have those wheels in the air. And that's using travel limiters. I LOVE my Kauffman engine. (hey, had to say it )

Now with the new 9" pro set up I can finally use the brake and better my 1.22 60' times. I will tell you this George. You'll have the trans brake advantage over me cause I may only get 1 to 2 times out before Norwalk and I'm not gonna hammer the rear with only a couple of weeks before we roll. That's all I'm givin ya

I ordered the new driveshaft this morning and they called this afternoon that it's finished. I'll pick that up tomorrow morning. How's that for service. Thanks to Bill H for the lead on the driveshaft shop. Now I'm just waiting for the new 40 spline axles so I can put it all back together.

That's great service. Had a similar experience in 2003 when I lunched the shaft out of the Discomobile at Norwalk during Thursdays track rental. Scott Esterle hooked me up with a shop in Akron, a little over an hours drive away. Left the track shortly after 8am on Friday with parts in hand, had him make me a shaft while I waited (well, I had lunch and checked out the Summit salesroom), was back at the track with the shaft in the car making passes by 5pm.

Just to make it a fair race,Dave can drag George down the track with him. Might be the only chance George will have to beat you too.

Tell 'em in person- get your butt to Norwalk!! No more excuses!!
The most-populated part of your province is no further from Norwalk than I am, here in NY. Or are you way up north? Or over Ottawa way?

Unless this race deal is just a grudge match between Dill and George, My money is on Stan's 61 Cat putting both of you on the trailer with Marty P driving. Then we will not hear anymore BS about Turbos belonging on trucks and George owning the fastest Pontiac in Michigan. Would be nice if that actually worked out but chit happens.

Drive your car off the trailer under its own power?

Sorry, George...couldn't resist...don't know how I missed that opportunity.

Default Norwalk smack talk!

Gach Quote: "Now that is funny...blue Nova."

Actually it's a Blue & "WHITE" Nova...................DUH!

Brian Baker Quote: "Drive your car off the trailer under its own power?"

It will come off the trailer...................... the catch is if it STAYS OFF.

Tom Vaught Quote: "Bla, bla ................bla, bla, bla..........bla, bla..........chit happens!"

Not even worth it! LOL

John Langer Quote: "Are we going to see who has the fastest n/a car at Norwalk?"

Only if the players show up!

Oh, by the way I vote for ME (if I can stay off the trailer). Dish soap or no dish soap, my car nomally hooks on any surface.
FYI: I know the Norwalk crew pretty well...................!

I wasn't talking about the tank race. I was talking about the fastest n/a pontiac door cars regardless of weight. I won't be there, I'll be at the NMCA race at ZMax that weekend.
