I don't know if I can agree with that or not. We'd first have to see how the "more popular" GTO's would fare against the HEMI cars before we can speculate on the T/A's. JMO

We own these cars for a reason, to enjoy them.
If it be pulling them in or out of a trailer at a show or burning rubber on a cruise night. There going to be here when were all six feet under so I say enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
WARNING_WARNING_ "Just watch out for the brain-less at all times"

73brewstersd, I heard these cars are going to pass the RAIV cars too (if they have'nt already).
However they still need to be ripped every now and then. When would you like to go for a ride?

Larry, I got my information from some of the countrys top GTO owners in 2006.

What brand/viscosity oil do you SD owners run? Do you stick to the valve cover recommendations (30W or 10W40)?

I've heard so much about how new oils are engineered for newer vehicles not for vintage Pontiacs.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Use oils with high zinc content. Rotella or oils designed for "racing".

I'm not going to name names on any public Forum however they are RAIV Judge, and GTO owners who happen to be on the top the field at the GTOAA Nationals.
They brought it to my attention in evryday conversation.

Rotella is a great lubricate for these cars of this vintage.

73brewtersd, I sent you a PM.

Here it is and it has made reserve:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ponti...QQcmdZViewItem

This is big money for a 74 automatic car that is not even restored correctly. I wonder what the car would have brought if it was done right?

Maybe your on to something Larry?

What happened to the $120k BIN offer he had going when he relisted it?

Makes me feel good about the rising value of my SD!

I'm still going to have to see a couple more go in this range to believe it for a 74 auto.

Can someone tell me where I can get a correct reproduction of the foam covered fuel line. I recently ordered one from one of the major suppliers but am disappointed with it. It is a fuel line with refrigerant line insulation simply slipped over it. Really cheap looking.
