I think that win paid $1,000 but I got almost another $1,000 in contingency (I’m pretty sure I screwed the spelling up) money.

You can still find them for under 2900 if you look hard enough. I spent more than that for my last set of AFR sbc heads !

I don't disagree, but really? who has that kind of money TO RUN THAT e.t and then u need everything else that goes with it, like the light chassis, twin hair dryers, list goes on and on, What's sickening is all this bitching about who's head is ****ing better period! Who cares, why can't the pontiac people all stay on the same side, Its their car with whatever they choose for heads etc, its up to them to make it et where they want, and if they meet their goals then who are we to say anything to anyone! They met their goals and their happy, doesn't effect me or anyone else. I used to come to this board for advice and learn ****, these days very little learning and a bunch of people bitching etc! May as well just go to the YB! ,LOL

Seriously did you say that with a straight face.........I hope not! Can you honestly say that a high port wouldn't run the same ET or Quicker in the same situation (chiefs car/set up)? All it is, is a port it doesnt know what brand it is!

Let me ask you this George. Let's say I bought a set of high ports. What else would I need to buy to make them work ?

Nothing . I was just wondering. I know they are a little more than the E heads. If you buy the E heads you also need head bolts. So I was trying to see what you needed with the high ports .

GTOGeorge,
Let me clarify my last question. What size tire do you run?

So were you wishing in one hand and.............

I say you,Billy,Brian,LJ ,Fulton,Robin show up to one of the throw downs in Tulsa pay your entries put the radials on the cars and race for $25k to win like Kendal did last October....and my homey didn't do to shabby with his bbc powered muftang may I add!
Jason,
You are looking at grapes and grapefruits. That group races 1/8 mile Dick runs 1/4. End of 2015 Jeff ran a 7.77 @ 169 turning the nitrous off 6.5 seconds into the run. Jeff just ran a 4.80 1/8 mile. What is Dicks best 1/8 mile? It is not as simple as just changing the rear gear ratio for either of them to run the others distance.

GTOGeorge,
Where are some examples of someone who has done it? Otherwise it is just a WAG on your part.

Dick ran a shut off early 7.58 something at norwalk on a hurt engine. Comparing a cars 1/8 mile that is set up for the 1/4 mile to a cars 1/8 mile when his car is set up to run the 1/8 is not apples to Appels.

GTOGeorge,
So then to run that class you might need to put on a smaller tire. Then you might run those 5.0 or that track that day.

25+ years ago we used to look under the hood of a high performance Pontiac and look to see if the guy had good cylinder heads like a 12,13,48, ect. or some crappy 6H smog heads. From doing this for so many years it is now embedded in our DNA. I myself try to stay out of the cylinder head wars the best I can.

Maybe if you read and comprehended what I wrote you would not have written this response. Where you are telling me what I just posted.

Every time another head comes out other then the e Head the same people bitch about them.......FACT! I’m telling you it’s a cult! LOL! I like to see the Pontiac venders do well because they care about us Pontiac Racers. Wensler was the first someone had to start it, the big companies didn’t care, no money in it for them!

I think you might be taking this all a little to serious. On another note having the drive is much more important than "having the money"..... everyone wants to blame it on the money, but most don't really have the drive.
Do you have more that $3200 into you d-ports?
