Looking GREAT Darrell!

Do you have a plater who does your black/grey phosphate work or do you do it in house?

WOW! Makes me appreciate the fact that when I was able to build cars one of my good friends owned the biggest plating company in Georgia. He passed away about 3 years ago from cancer and although I know who is running the company, I don't know if they take in 'small' batches anymore.

BVZ -

All is well here in Korea. Seoul is enormous (25 million in metropolitan area) and my base (Yongsan Army Garrison) is right in the middle. It's a small installation with a few thousand Soldiers. Seoul is clean, modern, and generally safe. Lots of great restaurants and shopping within walking distance of here.

We live in a 2 bedroom apt on base - pretty nice. Have loaner furniture and a rental car until our furniture and car (sorry, not a musclecar; it's an Infiniti FX37) show up in a few weeks. No musclecars here that I can see; just a few Mustang GTs and one bad@$$ new Skyline GTR.

Weather here is about like northern VA. 4 seasons, cold summer, warm summer but not terribly long. Monsoon season is approaching - often have a front that stalls over the peninsula for a few weeks.

Laurie and Abby are settled in and doing fine. Abby is 3 months old today. FYI - Abby is a rock star here in Korea - Koreans love babies, especially caucasian babies. She often attracts a crowd.

My new job is incredibly busy, but I can't really complain because it's the job that I asked for. Hopefully things will calm down somewhat, but I think I'll have my hair on fire for much of the next 2 years.

Scott

Great to hear the good reports Scott.
Seoul sounds like a nice atmosphere too.
But dang thats a lotta folks.
Glad Abby is doing well and grabbing some spotlight.

We have been having monsoon season here in my area for about 2 weeks - very uncommon rainfall and some pretty harsh storms. Other areas of USA have been getting worse effects than we have , so we are still lucky here.

Nearby city, new incoming Police Chief shot at what he considered an aggressive dog in the owners driveway. Missed the dog, shot ricocheted off driveway, hit lady owner in the hip. 2 days later he was sworn into office as new Chief.
Things will probably work out okay since the new Chief is black , the lady is black , and the dog was white.
News from the Odd Side.

Scott:
I dropped something off for your car last week at Darrell’s just as a thank you for your service.
All I can state is WOW – The car is beautiful!

Did take a few updated pictures of it that I can post if you do not mind.

Stay Safe.

Baron: I just had to look that up. (That is all I will state)

Thanks, Baron. Latest news is that I scored a hooptie to drive to work and back - 99 Yukon 4x4. Just like my '99 'Burb, but about 2' shorter. Lots of character, but it's a one family truck (current owner's dad bought it new) that runs well and rust free. Not bad for $1,000. Certainly beats the he11 out of buying a $1,000 Hyundai or Kia that I can't work on.

Brian -

Thanks for donating the 70 Ram Air IV lower pan, the 273 carb, NL valve cover bolts, and the 2011 distributor. That was much appreciated!

Just kidding...Darrell didn't tell me what you dropped off, but I really appreciate it, whatever it was. I think there are parts on the car from about 90% of the folks on the Judge and 70-72 forums.

Feel free to post some pics; I have to post some more myself.

Thanks again!

Scott

Details, details, details...

Nice a$$!!!

Clean original radiator support was difficult to find. Had to talk Darrell out of the MINT radiator shroud that he had.
