The only reason we were sweating was from shoveling all the snow off the floor!

When ever we dyno and its raining outside .We step on our dicks.Have tried to not dyno on rainy or extremely bad days.Everyone needs to give Mike and crew credit for perseverance to produce this kind of power.Bill C.

Better yet, move it while running. It's all boxed up now and stored away- straight-cut gears were too noisy for my resto-mod GMC. On the test stand it showed promise- cam advanced nine degrees (crank) below 4,000 RPM improved throttle response and greatly improved the idle of a very "lumpy" cam. Next time I build a V8 Pontiac I'll look at converting it to helical gears- if i can concoct a compact scheme for containing end-thrust of the idler gear.

Very nice mechanical system Jack.

All of the new Mustangs have some form of adjustable on the fly cam timing mechanism.

The "Veri-Cam" people were pretty smart with that concept 50 + years ago.

Spme of the new Cam Phasers are mechanical but take up a bunch of room.
The electric and hydraulic systems all have their good points and faults too.
Plus you need a computer circuit, which it looks like you have created.

Again, Nice Work.

Tom V.

Great dyno results with this engine showing what a thoroughly worked out, high end Pontiac engine can do! Good luck on the track with this combination.
I think many following this thread appreciate seeing the pics and the details of what it takes to get to this level.

Mike, do you kind of wish you had put the efforts of Sir Marcella into a set of High Ports or even Tigers ? In a old post you mentioned something to the effect that John said High Ports would be worth 25 HP. 25 HP is something at this level. The might be worth even more than that.
