SDB...yes that is it.. Don't you hate it when you get a mental blank..I seem to be getting them more frequently as the years go by... anyway...I will get pic's and numbers of the MC sometime today and post them... I didn't pay much for the MC... If someone can use it, then that will be fine...I have no use for it..

Bill:

VERY interested depending on the bleeder configuration. If it has the bleeders than I believe that Brewster is next in line! Looking forward to seeing pictures.

Also, what would you want to spruce it up for use?

Pat,

Do you know what process the engraver used to put the date code on your mirrors. That turned out really nice. I checked with my local engraver who does laser engraving on glass and he said the he couldn't do it on a mirror because the laser would just reflect off of it.

I will call them Monday and get all the info on how/what they use to engrave the mirrors. I said to them can you laser a date code in a mirror and they said, yes we can do it. As you can see in the picture with all 4 mirrors they used an old mirror to match the size, font, & the slight arch in the date code and they matched it perfect from the gaps in the font to the slight arch!

Pat

PS You could always send your mirrors to them!

I talked to the engraver who did my mirrors and they said they use a standard engraver machine not a laser on the mirror date code. See link below for contact info as I知 sure they would like the work!
Thanks!

I have all the door window hardware and tracks ready and I should have my doors back from the painter tomorrow.

Some before pictures

Tracks & and hardware cleaned, & painted along with new window rollers

The new door glass is a great match from the shape, hole placement, & original etched labels

This is the orientation of the window hardware and a cool little tool to remove & install the hardware. The new window rollers are from NPD as they are the only supplier I could find who sold them.

Awesome work, and so many great tips along the way. Who did you purchase your glass from?

December 71 glass looks really nice! Did it come from OEM in Illinois?

Pat, where did the cool little tool come from? Did you make it, or does someone sell those?

As always, great work!

Thanks, Pat. They are just down the street from me... I'll pick one up the next time I'm there.

Pat:

Whenever I come across an odd find like that I usually resort to McMaster Carr. Go to their website and search under sheathing or something like that. Try the link below!

http://www.mcmaster.com/#cable-sheathing/=5fka8w

If you order on a Monday by a certain time you can usually get it the next day! Hope that helps!
