That's a IMPRESSIVE amount of AIR under your tires.

Why don't you let us know what's under the hood & what sort of times you're running?

Just restored some 10th Anniversary 15x8 rims....I had some Comp T/A tyres sitting around so I decided to see what they looked like on my T/A....I kinda like them.

Snowflakes will end up back on the car....I have other plans for the Turbo rims down the road a little....
Going to have the the snowflakes refinished....get the spoke edges polished etc, and then add some 275/60 rear tyres and move the 255/60's to the front.

Hey Leigh, car looks great!
I like the way you did the hood. I did something similar to that '78 t/a I painted a couple of years ago. Sort of a MACHO T/A look.

No birds as of yet, although I am working on getting a survivor 78 w72 4-speed formula #'s matching, white and a 69 firebird, for trade on a lowly 90 covette roadster I will take pics and see if you all think of it as a fare trade.

LOL...yeah I remember that car...at the time you did it, I was just doing the same thing thinking I was being so original....lol.
Hope the new owner is treating that bird well...it looked great after you refinished it.

One might see that car at the STARS show. The buyer lived in Florida.

Hi all.

Thought I'd post a pic or two of my baby. As far as I know she's a 81 Trans Am. Unfortunatly out here in South Africa Pontiac spares are next to none so it's a common thing to use a chevy motor. She's running a 350 chevy motor with a Turbo 350 box. Definitly not in the same league as you guys in the States, but I'm trying my best.

That's a real clean looking T/A!
I'll bet getting parts IS a MAJOR problem.
They did actually make a lot of 81 T/A's with the 305 chev motor in it.
Perhaps,it was just upgraded to a 350?

If your T/A is an 81 & the 7th digit in your VIN is a G,H or S,it WAS a 305 originally.

Thanks for the compliment. From what the previous owner told me the original motor was swopped out for the Chev 350. Luckily finding chevy parts here is not a problem. The biggest problem is finding body parts. Sourcing from the States gets very expensive.

For South Africa, maybe freight from Australia would be better???
Try a friend of mine - largest Pontiac parts supplier in Australia and does a lot of overseas sales. Called USGM Serviceparts, he has a good on-line webiste for ordering.

Yep, that's the one. He had it on eBay also before it was at Jefferson - supposedly the high bidder backed out at the last minute. I was going to check it out when it was on eBay as it was only 10 minutes from my house, but didn't get around to it, then saw it at Jefferson; it didn't sell there all weekend, so I went & looked at it again after the show & negotiated with the seller...

Yes, it's got a 462 in it now that really pulls hard! I got the original WC code 400 block with it (or at least a correct block, haven't checked all of the numbers on it yet).
