Anyone have ALL the '72 dealer sales bulletins???
All I can further contribute is to dig out the VIN & bodytag info on a '72 LeMans GT that gave up a 1 1/8" rear bar, it was factory 400 4bbl automatic car, & if it had been WW4 car car it would have made its way onto my trailer </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Roger is correct, as you can see the partial page I posted does indicate the Y99 suspension as being available on ANY 1972 LeMans Coupe or Hardtop Coupe.

Roger, I don't have any sales bulletins, just my VERY complete dealer sales album.

Thanks Lloyd, missed your referring to Y99 in your above post. My T-37 post has Y96, so no rear swaybar.

Melvin, To reproduce the two color '71 "eyebrow" stripes will require more effort than the best local vinyl graphics shop will be willing to expend & without nos stripes to pattern off of, very tough row to hoe. In the late 80's through early 90's, I used a local concern to repro the '71 1/2 GT-37 & '72 (chrome nose) LeMans GT reflective D98 stripes off nos out of correct 3M reflective vinyl. Was the 1st to do so commercially. The whole process was a super PITA. What made the '71 1/2's "doable", was they were cut from one color material, thus somewhat easy to double ck for flaws, & mask. To use similiar method to reproduce the 2 color "eyebrow" stripes would require digitizing, then "cutting" one color, peeling & positioning the 1st color, then "cutting" the other color & painstakingly hand positioning this 2nd color, next to the 1st. Then finish mask. The correct hand positioning of these two thin stripes next to each other, with proper gaps... talk about a major nightmare. JMHO, but easier just to wait till Gary in FL gets them correctly screened (reproduced). Rome wasn't built in a day, & neither are nice restorations.

Melvin-

There are plenty of us on this board waiting for the 2 color eyebrow stripes.

Did anyone on this board pick up the NOS set on ebay last week?

Spartan,
Appears that your friend has spoke with board contributor SupercarBob in IL. Ck out the invoice copy on page 4 of this post & his text. The odds of two 400 2bbl '71 GT-37's being ordered in orbit orange are quite small.

Joey; At least I know I am not alone in my quest for the stripes. I guess if enough of us keep after it sooner or later it will be done. Paint guy is a little slow and looks like it will be at least another month before I could even be ready for them anyway. His quote is, "If you want this done right, don't rush me.", and I want it done right so I guess I'll have to be patient.

The stripes are still in the works.Gary had a setback with the hurricanes last year.He is still working on them.
I had my wife bidding on them while I was at work. They ended before she could get hold of me for how much higher I wanted to go on the price. The thing about the NOS decals are they are at least 25 yrs old and the adheasive is in bad shape, they also arent cut correctly.

Default EBay GT-37

Just an FYI to any of you guys looking at this 71 GT-37 on EBay. I ran the PHS on it and it is a factory 350 - 2bbl car (not the rarer 400) and the spoiler was an add-on as well (not factory installed). They must have swapped in the 400 molding badges at some point and added the spoiler. Nothing wrong with a 350/2bbl GT-37 but bid accordingly.
