I bought an NOS bumper but I was not impressed with the chrome so I had it rechromed. Might not show up real good in pictures, but it has an excellent shine to it and is very straight. I also had my original rechromed - twice - since they forgot to weld shut two holes for a trailer hitch from a prior owner. The shop picked up the tab for the second attempt. It's also very nice, but not quite like this on the back side.

484947 7.831 All F BAR (rear) 1 1970 1973 7-30

Upper and lower NOS hinges that have been painted. They also used these to mock up the body so technically they are now used....

9808872 10.450 All F HINGE ASM. (upper) RH 1970 1971 10-6
9808873 10.450 All F HINGE ASM. (upper) LH 1970 1971 10-6
9816926 10.454 F HINGE ASM. (lower) 2 1970 1975 10-5

These first insulators are interesting because they have CHEVROLET in large block letters on them, but it is correct and my originals also have the same on them.

3928380 9.023 All F INSULATOR, No. 2-upper 2 1970 1972 9-3

3901361 9.023 All F INSULATOR, No. 3-upper 2 1970 1972 9-3

3962720 9.023 F/6-F/8 INSULATOR, No. 2-3-lower 4 1970 1970 9-3

Here's the original Harrison heater core from the car. Date 70J. I think I'll take it to the radiator shop and have it checked out and pressure tested. I have an NOS core, too. Would you trust a 46 year old core if it tested OK?

And the blower motor dated 8 70 and stamped 5044720

What kind of money does a project like this costs, parts and labor {if no work done by yourself], and where are you finding all these NOS parts? Only asking because of the extent you are going for perfection.

I stopped keeping accurate records because I didn't want to know. But, luckily I bought many of the parts back years ago when they were less expensive. I know I was paying less than $15 each for the PMD center caps, for example, and they can fetch $85 each now. But, it definitely does add up and I wouldn't even have a good guess.

IMHO, since Harrison cores & radiators were not the best quality from day one, no, I wouldn't trust it. But I'm thinking the NOS one still might be better than the majority of Chinese ones that the parts stores sell.

Not to contradict TARick, if it tested iut good, I might be inclined to use it...

Wouldn't the NOS one also be a Harrison?

I too would think that either should be better than the garbage that mist people are ok with...

The NOS core doesn't have the large Harrison logo on it, but the box does say Harrison Division GMC Lockport, NY on it so I would have to suppose you are correct.

They are otherwise fairly much identical. At least on the outside. The picture makes one look bigger than the other, but not so in person. Just the angle.

You know Chad, it must be a terrible, TERRIBLE job to keep track of all these old parts. Such a burden. Just think how much more simple life would be if you just loaded all that old stuff up in a U-Haul truck (or two) and sent it a few miles south down to me and then you'd never have to worry about it again! ;=)

The neat thing about this first one is it is a mirror package so you get everything to mount it on a car as well as a large piece of paper to hold on the door as a template of where to cut your door panel and it then has instructions and drawings of how to mount the mirror. The details of the door insides are sort of interesting. I do have another NOS mirror already painted. And my door panels are originals re-skinned by Just Dashes so it already has the hole cut in it for the mirror control. They are the early standard interior style with the map pockets in them. I'll have to pull them out to see how they are looking.

989007 All A, F & G MIRROR PKG., remote controI-LH (sport) 1 1971 1972 A-2

The Pontiac mirror had a different style joystick than the other divisions. The best one, I say....

Various black mounts for Firebird and Grand Prix. Not sure why so many for Grand Prix but probably other mirrors were installed on Firebirds and they threw the extras together.

I need a 917399 if anyone has one they would sell or trade for something else. Must be NOS in the box.

9781956 8.820 All exc. 74F SLEEVE, jack post & handle 1 1966 1974 8-33

Here's a little box that originally came from Canada - although, I got it from a fellow in Kansas a few years ago now.

496352 14.655 23 PAD (black) (paint to match) 1 1970 1973 14-2

I know, the grain is probably slightly different, but I still like it better than my Just Dashes skinned one that I've mentioned before. That other one is very nice, but too thick along the leading edge closest to the windshield.

I did not realize that the Pontiac mirror remote knob was different than the other divisions!?

Here, I was principally looking for door mirrors with correct date codes (honestly, I cannot recall what I currently have).

Might you be able to make a nice full sized scan of that paper/template?
I know that I would be interested in a copy of it!

I recently found out that the original early dashes have a different grain;
I am not worried about this myself;
I bought my car with a 78-81 Deluxe dash in place, and found a mint 75(?) standard dash to replace it - which is functionally 100% correct for my car.
Last I checked it showed no signs of warping... so I will not be changing that.
My old dash was mint, but I wanted to be able to install a correct push button radio in my car - so the search ensued...

It's subtle. I always think of this style as Camaro. But it might be mirrors from later models.

Who can scan bigger stuff? Kinkos?

Who scans stuff anymore? Take a closer picture of it, enlarge and crop it, then post it just like you do the obscene picture parade of NOS parts. Frankly, I think your continual posting of these pictures could be considered a form of micro aggression towards us less fortunate people ..

It's a template. It'd work best if it were somewhat to scale - unless peeps just want to see what it says.

Bob, I know you are not at all "less fortunate people".

Pretty sure I have an "extra" 917399 side marker, at least my inventory sheet says I do. I'll go physically check stock later this evening. I'm sure you'll have something to trade to help me "fluff" my Esprit some more.

Here's a trick: If you take the photo with a ruler next to the object, then the eventual user can just enlarge the photo until the ruler matches an actual size ruler.
