So why do I get a 100# penalty when a Warp 6 or CV1 head doesn't get a penalty?

Does Billet Aluminum make it faster???
I think Marcella is considering dropping the weight for all CV-1 entries…

I am going off of what I know the capabilities of a clean sheet billet head to be at 4.620 bore space. And its not like im ignorant on the subject of cyl heads.
If your boys missed the mark on the head that's your problem. Not saying that's the case. Just sayin

We will discuss the Warp 6 head as it is superior to any of the other Pontiac heads as well.

FAIR! (But they might need 300 to be competitive.)

Damn I hate agreeing with you - :-) - I think the discrimination is based on who you have building these heads and your engine -- built in fear factor, there is high expectation based on past performance --

I disagree. If there was no it vantage why spend $12,000 on their castings and start over when you already have good working heads And A fast car? I think everyone Knows the answer including Jack.

The words Donkey Stomp and Skull Drag come to mind.

Well that would eliminate the CV-1 stuff, the Warp stuff, the Visner stuff, and basically make it a cast RAV, aluminum RAV/RAV clone game (plus some old technology Wide Port heads).

Been watching that stuff run for several years now. And Ford Mustangs run 7.0s with PA since the 90s at 3000 pounds.

When will the small Fish Hatchery fish be able to swim in the big lake with the Lake Trout?

Lil Jack is absolutely correct. The original Utral street rules posted by John do not have any weight penalty for Billet Heads.

GENERAL:
- No Billet cylinder heads/blocks
One has to wonder why now Billet heads have a weight penalty?

I didn't say I think they should be allowed. Said penalty state unconventional . Except the cv 1 -200pounds

Mike -- I respectfully enter these facts into the debate :-) - would you see a difference in a CAST head that is welded - -massaged - ect and or had 30k dropped into it and a billet head ??? Yet it sounds like most are ok with the cast head -- not the billet??? I hear all the stuff about "heads up " class and then every one wants there own special rules -- I get it - kinda -- but there is a huge difference between building a car to fit a class and building a class to fit a few cars -- as you can clearly see that's where the chipping and bitching start.

Maybe something like Comp eliminator rules would work for you guys - weight to CID with modifiers for some specific things - just a suggestion - have fun.

Well it is not my opinion that that just billet heads carry weight. As I already said "Non- traditional" pontiac heads should carry weight....equally. Sorry cv guys its the right thing for the class.

There is more danger of several ford heads on pontiacs than ford engines in Pontiac's or vice versa.....JMO

I was calling bs on people being afraid of a certain camp....Thats not it.

You would ONLY need to fear the Clone "FORD HEADS" that were designed properly.
Right now there is only one guy that has anything that I would say is close to being a threat to the Pontiacs.
