I went to the track yesterday on my third run ran a new best of 10.761 at 125.64 with a 1.5471 60ft 6.8910/101.06 at the 1/8th. My first 2 runs of the day were 10.89 and 10.96 with a bit of spin and also with the timing retarded slightly to 28 total. For the day I replaced the Wilson tapered four hole spacer with an open one inch. I really needed more runs but was fighting a minor oil leak again.
Overall not huge gains but I was pleased with the 1.54 60ft. My top end mph was down about 1 mph..not sure if that was a jetting issue with the open spacer..or the four hole spacer may pull harder from the 1/8th mile on ? Or possibly because I had my regulator turned down to 6lbs and the gauge was showing 5.5 at the topend.

I laugh every time I think about your car, and your stories of racing some "real" race cars, sending them home, disillusioned about their day's racing experience...LOL

I wish your car had the shaker setup on it, looking even more deceptively stock...

Most of us would be doing really good to run low-mid 12's with 3.08 gears
and getting 15.6 mpg to boot

Impresses me and probably everyone else that reads about it.
10.76 is hauling like a Dodge Demon on Race Gas

You should put Factory Cruise Control on it - to get the effect if nothing else.

Are you still running the TH-350 and Hughes convertor?

I like the "sleeper" look myself. I'd like to eventually make the car stock looking...much like Andy's (Torquewar's) car ..its very subtle and stock looking and runs the same times mine does. Years ago I did solve the whole shaker hood clearance issue running spacers...and Andy also has..so its doable with a stock hood and shaker.

Hughes TH 350 with a 2.75 first gear. The convertor is a 14 year? old 3200 10 inch Continental convertor.

Geeze the driveshaft lost that battle ...been there mine let go at the rear . Flung around and beat up the tunnel pretty good. Spent quality time using the Mig and body hammer to make it invisible..
Yes the sleeper look appeals to me. Run some 10s have the Chev /Mopar guys confused.

The first time my car went into the 10s, I ordered a new driveshaft from Strange with a CM input yoke and a CM pinion yoke so I wouldn't have to worry about mine coming through the floor across the stripe at 130 mph. There are unbelieveable videos of that happening on youtube.

I went years with no issues..but last year it caught up with me. Broke a tranny yoke last year and cracked a tranny case.I replaced the driveshaft with a new 3.5 inch steel one made local 1350 front tranny yoke and conversion 1330 to 3r in rear. I then had issues with the inside clips spinning or letting loose on the 3R diff yoke actually dropped that driveshaft twice just driving around home.
This past spring I ordered a Strange 3 inch CM shaft, CM tranny yoke, CM diffyoke, heavy duty retaining straps. Should have did that years ago.

A 3.5 inch shaft gets pretty tight up front for clearance on the f bodys.

I run a strange yoke, 1350 joints and a 4 inch driveshaft. It's tight but does not hit. I have an A body though. If you can afford it, carbon fiber is great, and if it breaks it turns to powder, no damage to the floor

My mind is blown again, when will it stop. The new Jim Hand, except with aftermarket heads. Good job.

Finally heading for a track outing Saturday, it has been a busy year with life's commitments.
Only real change is the convertor..I swapped the Continental 10 3200 for a UCC 10 inch 3800/4000. At the moment I'm not sure on the exact flash stall. I also planned on swapping my gearing to 3.42's...but after driving with the new convertor..it really feels about the same on the street. So I left the gearing alone.
I'm hoping with traction to pick up a bit of 60ft time ..but at the same time hoping the top end mph stays the same and doesn't suffer with the slightly looser convertor.
