I’m lucky, sort of, when we were younger her daily driver was a ‘71 GTO with a cam too big for the street, M22 4 speed and 3.90 Posi ( we still have that car). She would work on the cars with me and was my “wingman” for street racing and cruising. That was 30+ years ago, no real interest now, she’s into horses and riding. She supports my hobby fully and comes to the track to help if I ask.

Heck, she lets me use part of her barn as a garage for my GTO. Haha

Cool Dan!! I am sorta glad though. My car is my therapy. I like it alone. If she was with me and someone pulled up next to me, I would have to decline out of respect to my wife. When I need to blow off steam she tells me go work on your car or take it for a ride!!

No problem... that was a very broad answer to your question. There are a chit ton of other variables that go into making a decision where to put the car and/or what tune to put in the laptop. The is just too much info to type and easier to say in person. Lol

Your answer is good enough.

I always saw at our track, anything with tread totally killed the groove.
Just ripped chunks out. (leaves bald spots)
I always made sure to not to follow a treaded car if possible.

The guys with sticks also do a number.

Slicks and automatic are the best for keeping the track hooking.

If a drag radial car spins it will tear up the track...but not when the car hooks & books. Lol
