I actually like it. its a little darker than the pepper green on my 70. Once we put the stripes on it, I think its going to really look awesome.

Finished up a few more things on the car yesterday and got the stripes on it.
Should be ready to shake it down Friday night. Still need to make new bumper brackets since the reinforcements have been removed and the original impact mounts (5 mph deal) on the car weight about 15-20lbs a piece and I'm not using them!!! I can run it at the T&T without bumpers and hood so all is good. Hood is a mess.
Still need to paint the filler strips, side marker light plates, mirrors, hood and shaker scoop.

Nothing like a deadline to get things done, huh?

Yeah, its killin me but it has turned out better than I thought it would. She's really happy with it so thats all thats matter. I'm just hoping it runs like I expect it too. This thing is stronger and safer than my car is plus a little lighter.
Its come a long way from the rusty POS it was not that long ago.

Didn't run how I expected.11.90@114. Car wouldn't hook with the tires I had on it and the carb on it was off my car, not the one tuned for the motor.Saturday was more of a shake down and for that part, the car went straight and drives great, just still a little stiff for me.
Fixed the carb for the motor last night and it runs a lot cleaner, mine was just to much. Put my slicks on it for the weekend and hopefully the car will runs some 40's or 50's if not a little faster. We'll see

What rear gear did you end up with?

You're right 40-50 should be about right based on MPH.

Do they have scales at Norwalk?

Went with a new Moser 3.73 gear, 35 spline spool.
I'll weigh it at Norwalk, figuring around 3050-3100 without driver. (add 200 for my fat ass).
Steve and I even thought 11.20's but right now mph says no way. Got a little tuning to do.
This will be perfect for Carole to get her feet wet with and have some fun.

I adjusted the door striker so it doesn't look like the door isn't closed.
Kind of a erie video because with the reflection and color, it almost looks symmetrical

Ran fastest pass so far today during first round of eliminations at Norwalk. Weight is 3155 without driver in it. I weigh 140 and Rob weighs 205 so no matter what I should always be faster in the car

60' 1.669
1/8 7.466
Mph 92.63
1/4 11.738
Mph 113.68

I let out of the gas just before stripe worried I was breaking out. Rob had me at 11.83 dial so I was a full tenth early. Not upset since I have fastest time of the weekend.

Car should run faster so need to work on loosening up the rear and possibly freshen the valve springs. The work never ends.

That would be a perfect match for my 63 Tempest to run heads up. Identical times and speeds. Congrats on the car. Love the color.
